French here, here is my experience :
- booked 3 tickets from ticketsbolivia.com which in turn booked with this agency Cruz del Norte.
- we board the bus with a little bit of panic because we didn’t find the indications about which bus company it was, that was solved without issue.
- starting the trip from Uyuni to Calama, there is one border control to do, and it happens that their X-ray machine was broken. Which led to a full 10 hours of queueing and no one respects the line, a real mess, quite nerve wrecking. This has nothing to do with the bus company.
Issue starts after ollague:
- once we finish the border checks, the bus stops at Ollague and driver says the bus is broken down and there will be no advance until next day. We had a plane at 6 am next day, and there was no way that we could stay the entire night in the bus and miss this plane.
We literally had to pay 175$ usd for 3 places on the hallway of another bus, cramped down and not even properly seated. To make sure that we could take the plane next day. Departed from 6:15, Arrived in calama at 1:35am next day, flight was at 6 am right after.
Asked for a refund, no response so far, it’s been 2 weeks, and still utterly furious. Their general conditions states that if there is a major problem, or issue with the transport, they refund. But we are still waiting, overall spent 164$ for their bus service which couldn’t even drive us until calama, and additional 175$ for another bus to make sure we are there.
Replying to the message: already sent an email with TB code, sent it again.
As of 11/03/2026, travelled 20/12/2025, we never got refunded, avoid, and definitely can’t recommend.

They covered our unexpected accident
I used this bus company to go to Puno, Peru. However, prior bus has been significantly delayed (over 6 hours) due to the political protests by Bolivian. Even though it was too late to get the final bus to Puno, the staff made great efforts to get the final bus for me.
Results? I successfully got the final bus to Puno without problems. I really appreciate their endeavors and would highly recommend you to trust this company.
Not worth it
I bought a bus ticket through BusBud, who then outsourced to Tickets Bolivia. Tickets Bolivia decided to switch the bus company / time so they could book me on the cheaper bus. They didn’t properly tell me about this switch and only sent me my new ticket after the departure time of the new bus. Don’t book with them - much cheaper (like half price) to book directly at the bus terminal the day of the departure.
Poor service
The only positive thing I can say about their service is that the bus did get me to my destination. Otherwise, the journey was horrible.
It was advertised that the bus would have Wi-Fi, but it didn’t. The bus was not clean, and the air quality was poor. The bus terminals in Bolivia in general are also not clean and feel quite unsafe in the evening. Despite this, you still have to pay an additional fee in cash to use these low-standard terminals.
The bus drivers do not treat tourists with much respect, especially compared to how they treat locals. Customer service is equally unhelpful: their response time is slow, and when I explained my situation in detail and complained about the driver’s bad treatment, they refused to take any further action simply because the bus had managed to get me to my destination.

Maffia company
I booked a too expensive bus ticket from Sucre to Uyuni. Unfortunately, the bus was cancelled because of roadblocks. Tickets Bolivia could not refund the ticket, as the bus company mentioned that there was a bus going (of course not true and on a different date as I supposed to go)

I received wrong tickets which I hadn't purchased. Customer service via what's app sorted it out and sent me the right tickets within less then a day. Totally uncomplicated and super helpful via what's app!
Outstanding customer support
They proactively notified me about an accidental double booking, which was completely my fault and offered to cancel the redundant booking. Overall, they were highly responsive via WhatsApp and always friendly.

I paid for a bus ticket on the website and the payment failed. I retried and the second attempt was successful, but then there was a charge attempt from my card which I didn't initiate. Apparently my credit card details were stolen diring the first attempt. The website is not secure or there's a scum copy of this website. Be careful!

TL,DR not really a ticket just a chance at one
TL,DR the transportation company told us that ticketsbolivia sells their tickets with a set time and type of bus, but that time and type of bus is not based on reality. I asked the transporation company a day before about the process and they told me I had to get there 1 hour before the departure time -since it was a busy day- to get on the bus and that there might be a more expensive bus leaving the station at that time. When I got there at said time, they told me that all of the tickets for my bus had been sold and that I had to wait for the next bus, which might be in 1 or 1 and a half hours. I waited for about 45 minutes, standing directly in front of the ticketing booth, with a line of people behind me with tickets from this website on their hands, to have a chance to get on the next bus, and I was sold a ticket, a more expensive one I should add, so I had to pay the difference to get on it.

Fraud and they don't mind

Afterwards they could not correct this mistake and I had to travel with a worse connection. Nevertheless, they didn't want to refund the commission or even give me a one per cent discount. They simply assume that nobody will go to court, which is consumer fraud and dubious.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Don't buy through them. In Bolivia it's super cheap and easy to travel by bus. Just show up any bus terminal and you get where you need to.
/ Indeed I finally got the ticket in pdf form but I have to note that it took several attempt and if you check the whole conversation you will see that the link you sent me is not a ticket but a receipt about 6bs(six Bs!) of commission, had no data about which company I am going with. It took several days. I will travel on the 20th, hope everything is going to be fine.
