I really like the ethics of the company and have bought some lovely dresses, which are very good quality. The customer service is also good but the returns policy is awkward which puts me off buying more as I've bought a few items that didn't fit well, despite buying the same size as other items that did fit. The recommended methods of listing the item for re-sale on the Facebook group or listing for exchange do not work well in my experience. I've now stuck to buying the same dress in different patterns as I know it fits well so I don't have to worry about returns.

Fantastic clothing range, ethically sourced and produced. Don’t mind waiting a few weeks for my items when I know they are being produced to order so as to avoid waste. Highly recommended!

Good quality for the reasonable prices

There is so much that this company does well that it’s hard to know where to start. So I’ll start with the ethos behind it: avoiding the horrendous waste of materials that go to landfill from overproduction of clothes by only shipping material to be made up when there are enough orders to ensure that there is no fabric wastage. The clothes themselves are lovely and another bonus is that customers get to have a say in the designs, fabrics and colours of each collection, which is another way of ensuring that every item that is ordered is something that somebody truly wants. Yes, you have to wait for your garment but the wait is well worth it, customer service is excellent and you are kept informed right throughout the process. All this keeps the quality high, the prices competitive and you end up with an item of clothing you love and the knowledge that you have saved surplus clothing from landfill – and isn’t that important?

I love my unfolded dress. It is comfortable to wear and I always feel good in it. I like having the choice of length.
It's a bonus to know that in buying it I am helping to pay for some education and helping the planet. Well done Unfolded!

I have several dresses and trousers. Lovely fabrics and styles. Easy to wear and wash.

The dress I bought was lovely, it fitted perfectly. The sleeves were lovely as often I find that some times they can be tight on me. I love the concept of buying an item and having it made rather than see clothes being made by the million and left unsold. The only issue I had was the delay in getting the dress and not being notified about the delay. These things happen but customers need to be kept informed. I will definitely be buying from them again.

I have bought several outfits and love them. They fit really well and because I can choose the length it's perfect. You are kept updated on progress. Yes, you wait for your order as it's made to order but it's worth it. I feel special when I have one of my new dresses on. Can't wait for my next order

I first became aware of this company when I saw them on Dragon's Den. I think I remember the then Dragons being very impressed but too greedy for their share! I was personally very impressed by TiU's environmental credentials, and my first very lovely dress purchase led to another two. And recently, yet another two. I don't think I have to say that I like their dresses: it's all in the purchases! Beautifully made and very comfortable. If I had to find any fault, all I would say is that as lover of colour, I would like more vibrant colours and patterns in the range. They sometimes come over as a bit 'safe'. But that's a micro nitpick!

Love my dress. It's comfortable, looks good, and, yes, it has pockets! On top of that it is making a difference to girls and women in India.

I have 5 dresses and a pair of trousers from Unfolded. The materials they use are good quality and the items are well made. I have received a lot of compliments especially about the dresses. The denim dress is my particular favourite and I wear it most days as it is so comfortable and versatile.

I ordered the blue floral Maddie dress in late December. It arrived last week after being kept totally informed as to where it was in the process.
I am absolutely delighted with it and will definitely order from This is Unfolded again. The quality is lovely and the fit excellent (I’m a 12/14 and 5ft 1in tall). I ordered a size 12 short. Cannot fault it at all. Love having pockets. Can’t wait to wear it.

Beautifully made and a perfect fit

Okay, let's start by understanding what Unfolded want to achieve. They want to stop unsolded clothing going into landfill, which happens because of overproduction of cheap clothes. We all love a bargain, but unfortunately it comes at a price.
I was swayed by Unfolded's vision of only producing clothes to order and paying their workers a decent wage. We have all read the news articles about the exploitation of Chinese workers by the big online sellers.
Having read numerous reviews and seen the styles, it made sense to try them rather than order from a site where everything was mass produced. I placed my order in early December, probably not the best time. Pre Christmas, end of year, likely change of style or fabric in the new year. My preferred fabric was no longer available, but the alternative was appealing to me. Unfolded stated clearly that the dress would not arrive until late January or early February. That was fine, since the dress was a lightweight fabric and I would probably not wear it until Spring. End of January came, no dress, early February came, no dress. I became concerned that maybe I had made a mistake and checked their website. Sure enough my dress was in production and I would be sent an update when it was ready to be dispatched. Mid February I received an email, my dress was ready and about to be sent. February 24th and the postman arrived with my dress.
Yes, 3 months is a very long wait for an item of clothing. It was certainly at the far end of the projected time. Was it worth it? Absolutely. The dress is sized accurately, the fabric is better than I expected, the finish on the dress is excellent. I'm thrilled with my purchase. Next time I won't order over a holiday period or at end of season. I'll ensure that I order in good time for any event. My only negative is that Unfolded could have been a bit more truthful about the impact of the holiday delays and updated the lead times on their website accordingly. It's just a minor gripe from me. Be certain that despite the long wait and the slightly higher price point, Unfolded have a return customer.

Please do not waste your time or money
Very cheap dress which took 8 weeks to arrive, the second dress l ordered at the same time didn’t arrive at all and I’ve had half of my money refunded despite chasing them. SHEIN quality terrible customer service and won’t refund. Scammers pls avoid

Very disappointed at the delivery time, I have waited six weeks and still no dress.

The clothes are amazing quality, better than any clothes I've bought before! I'm so impressed. All the pieces I have bought I absoutely love, they all fit so well. I love the idea of the company, it's so refreshing to have a clothing company that are actually working to make a difference! The customer service is also very good!

I am always on the hunt for more sustainable clothing brands and Unfolded haven't disappointed. Both dresses I bought fit well and are high quality. If you're after fast fashion this brand isn't for you as each garment is made to order in India and you have to be patient.

Received my order. Dress is badly made. Neckline a total mess. Baggy and has a strange lump in the middle of the bodice that makes it look like I have three boobs. Very disappointing. Contacted customer service. No response. Company doesn't want to know. Waste of time and money. 8 weeks to recieve something that cant be worn.
