Excellent products at a reasonable price

Nice beef joints, some of the steaks had a bit too much fat on them however. Would buy again.

I am done with this company, After multiple orders, tried and tested, I am so disappointed…everything I have ordered has sooo much fat, and the website pictures are nothing like what you get! The cost is astronomical, as well, shop a your local butcher’s you will get what you see, .,

Ordered chicken wings, arrived a day late, cool but not cold and they had no meat on them....I've never seen meat like that before. I was given a credit.

ordered pork ribs and again delivered a day late and at room temperature so was given a refund. I was not refunded the credit I used but the money was lost and lesson was learned. Ive been leaving reviews for 17 years online and this is only my third bad review but it is honest.
one star, do not recommend.

The Village Butcher in my opinion is the best,
My order is always on time,
The meat is well packed with plenty of ice bags to keep the meat nice and fresh,
I wouldn't go anywhere else for my Brisket, Short Ends and Ribs,
I highly recommend them.

We have received 2 orders now & just placed our third.
The meat is well priced, good quality & delicious.
Delivery is flexible and can be within 2 days so helps with meal planning.

All the meat I have tried so far has been good quality. The flat iron steaks were really tender and very tasty

For a company that states it prides itself in good quality produce we were very disappointed with ours. Ordered a beef brisket for a family celebration and received a very flat sad looking cut of beef. We won't be using it for the celebration as it isn't any good for making slow smoked beef. When we contacted them they dismissed us and said they were happy with the quality of the meat. Would not recommend.

I ordered a 4kg brisket to cook low and slow on the smoker based on the description advising the cut had the perfect amount of fat and was ideal for smoking. The listing photo showed a thick piece of meat with a good fat cap. The joint that arrived is extremely thin, and has had all fat removed, therefore will be a lot harder to get right on a smoker. Village butcher contact advise "its in spec" and the pictures on the listing aren't of the meat you will get but is of a different cut - plainly false advertising using an incorrect photo and description.
Will stick to local butcher where I can see the cut before committing. I now have an expensive piece of meat that is useless for intended purpose.
The packaging and delivery were great if it had been the right item, or if customer services had resolved the issue.

Update - after discussions with their customer service I have been offered a £15 voucher off a future order - an order I probably wont be placing.

I'm 90 years old and the only problem I have is getting the delivery into my place. Apart from that the meat is as good as I could have expected from an old fashioned butcher's. Well worth the delivery charge if you order wisely and the freezer jel pouches more than cover the additional cost.

When I order from the village butcher’s I can choose what day that I want it delivered and it’s straight to my door

Sausages, ribs and butt's were perfect

Always satisfied with the meat that I ordered only ever had one problem and that's was with DPD who delivered one day late, luckily because of good packaging every think was OK.

The Village Butcher supplies a varied selection of cuts of meat that you would not get in the supermarket. The meat quality is excellent and the service from order to delivery is very good. I would recommend to anybody who enjoys their meat.
