Marketing and service delivery do not align
My opinion is that this program markets itself as developmental, but seems to focus primarily on students who enter the program already possessing the attributes it claims to teach. There are high hidden costs to access elements of the program that are used to attract families (e.g., global travel, corporate immersion). The financial obligations and contract terms seem to be misaligned with the program's goal to close the wealth gap for Black and Brown families. The program can benefit a very niche group of students, but accepts those whom they cannot or will not serve, which gives the impression of prioritizing enrollment (and profit) over fit. Students who are left unserved can be dismissed from the program at will; however, their families are still obligated to pay the full year's tuition. In my experience, attention is paid to winning at all costs, rather than developing well-rounded and well-adjusted scholars.
