The Trading Terminal is a trading journal and analytics platform built specifically for forex and futures traders, with a strong focus on prop firm challenge and funded accounts. It was created after our founder blew a live trading account and went looking for a journal that could explain why. Every option on the market at the time was either a basic profit-and-loss spreadsheet with no real insight, or a bloated, generic analytics suite designed for stock traders that had no understanding of prop firm rules like daily loss limits, trailing drawdown, and consistency requirements. Our core belief is that most traders don’t fail their evaluations because of a bad strategy. They fail because of untracked behavioral patterns that repeat without the trader ever seeing them clearly: revenge trading after a loss, increasing position size on the third or fourth trade of the day, or breaching a daily drawdown limit they lost track of mid-session under pressure. A trading journal’s real job isn’t just to log trades — it’s to make those patterns visible before they cost you an account. The Trading Terminal includes a full trade journal with over 30 fields per trade, a performance dashboard with equity curves and win rate breakdowns, and deep analytics across setups, sessions, and mistake tags. Our signature feature is Mistake Cost Analysis, which ranks every mistake you log by its actual dollar cost, worst first, rather than simply counting how often it happens. This turns vague self-awareness into a concrete, actionable number. For prop firm traders specifically, our Elite tier includes Risk Desk, a live daily risk budget tracker built around real evaluation rules, showing exactly how much risk you have left before you breach a limit. Elite also includes Auto-Logger, which syncs trades automatically from MT4, MT5, and cTrader via broker API, so your journal fills itself in without manual re-entry. We also offer a genuinely free plan — full trade journal, dashboard, and 90 days of analytics history, with no credit card required — because we believe every trader should be able to see real value from a journal before paying for one. There are no advertisements anywhere in the app, on any plan, ever. The Trading Terminal is an independent, Australian-based product, built and actively maintained by a trader who uses it on his own funded accounts. While the company is based in Adelaide, South Australia, the platform is used by traders globally it doesn’t matter where you’re located or which broker you trade through.

One of the best tools for trading!

I’ve been using The Trading Terminal for a while now and it’s honestly become one of the most useful tools in my trading routine. It’s not just a place to record trades — you can break everything down by setup, session, day, performance, mistakes and psychology has helped me actually understand what’s working and what isn’t.

The Mistake Cost Analysis is probably one of my favourite parts, because you can actually see how much certain mistakes are costing you, rather than just knowing you’re making them! I also use the position sizing and risk/prop firm tools, and the auto-logging makes keeping everything updated way easier.

There’s a lot packed in, I find the pro version really good value for money and user friendly. There’s also a free version which is very generous and also a great tool.

Overall it’s helped me become much more objective about my trading.
