Julia was amazing! She not only gave us a breakdown on the history of the places and food we visited but also the history of the city as we walked through it. Fantastic!
Julia was wonderful to tour with. She was really friendly and down to earth. She was easy and fun to have conversations with.
It was a smooth experience with our tour guide. I appreciated the food, experience, the atmosphere, and all of the above. Thanks a bunch to Julia!
The guide, Miguel, was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and also funny. We both enjoyed our tour very much! 👏🏼👏🏼
Easy to book, easy to find designated guide, informative and loved the earpieces! Helpful on the phone if you got turned around. Would use them again and have already recommended them to others.
We booked a Colosseum arena floor tour with The Tour Guy for Good Friday, 4/3/26. We paid extra to have access to the arena floor. One of the members of the tour group reached out on 3/21/26 to inquire if the tour would be disrupted in any way because it was Good Friday. The tour company responded, 'At the moment, your scheduled tour on Friday, April 3rd at 10:45 AM is still confirmed as planned. Availability on that day can be limited due to high demand and special events; however, your booking remains valid and we will proceed with the schedule time unless you are notified otherwise. If there are any updates or changes from the local authorities that may affect the tour, we will inform you as soon as possible.' We showed up to the tour and after some introductory information, the guide casually mentioned, 'We cannot enter the Colosseum today, but don't worry, we'll get nice pictures outside of it.' The entire group was confused and thought we misheard her. She said they were not allowing anyone inside to prepare for the Pope to do the Stations of the Cross later that day, which apparently happens every year on Good Friday. I looked on the Colosseum's website, and they explicitly stated they were open from 8:30 to 1:00 pm on 3 April, Good Friday. I showed it to the guide, and her comment was, 'That was only for individuals that stood in line that morning to get tickets.' However, on The Tour Guy's website it says the tour includes a, 'Pre-reserved Colosseum entry ticket.' I contacted the Tour Guy and they refunded me half of what I paid. I explained that was not good enough for a tour my family did not actually go on. They offered me a credit for the remaining value to use in the next three years and refused to refund the full amount. I am now out $134 and have a credit I am unable to use since I have no plans to travel to Europe in the next three years nor would I trust booking with them again. Although I tried to do research and go with what I thought was a reputable company, I was fooled. Please do not get scammed like we did. Choose a different tour company.
Our Guide Lucia was very experienced and knew the best way to navigate the busy city and crowds in the museum and the best spots to stand to see the highlights. She was a wealth of knowledge and gave interesting and insightful descriptions of the pieces we viewed. She provided the historical background on buildings we saw. She provided earphones so we could hear her easily when in crowds. She was considerate of our needs ....stopping for a rest or W/C break or taking the elevator. She was also considerate and helpful to other patrons of the museum. We were so happy to have her for our Guide.
The perfect way to see the highlights of Milan. Maria our guide was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable about the beautiful city with such rich history. We enjoyed the tour and Maria very much!
Great tour guide experience of Murano & Burano
Our geologist tour guide at the Pompeii site was excellent. He could answer all questions and welcome them. He even gave us extra tour time.
The site was gorgeous and we learned a lot from him. It's all worth the money.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friebdly.
Ilaria was absolutely fabulous. Extremely knowledgeable and personable. I appreciated that we were with a smaller, more intimate group.
Ilaria was amazing - excellent knowledge provider and and made the tour fantastic.
We had her for the David, the Uffizi and the Duomo. If you get her, you won’t be disappointed!
Not worth your money! I took a tour from Paris to Versailles. Was charged 120 Euros. In reality, it would have costed 40-50 Euros if I had planned it by myself. To add insult to injury, they sent me a survey and promised 20 dollars, which was never given. Disgraceful. Plan on your own and skip this.
our guide was outstanding and was super informative and so much fun! Would definitely book with her again!
We enjoyed visiting Murano and Burano. The tour guide was very informative.
