Basically 4Chan but list themed.
Misleading, biased, toxic, you name it. Where do I even begin... The Top Tens is nothing more than a misleading and biased website. At first, one might enjoy creating lists and sharing them to their friends and other people in a peaceful manner. You must think this website is a peaceful haven, right? WRONG. Barely any regulation exists on this excuse of a website. I spent about a month on this place before calling it quits. Here is my personal experience.
First, for example, I went on a list called "Top 10 YouTube Alternatives" and saw VidLii in the top eight or so on the list. The comments described it as a "Good community, ad-free platform, and quality content." I signed up for that website for about a week. Let's just say that comment was a huge lie. But I am writing about my experience on The Top Tens, not VidLii, so I'll have to save it for another time.
Second, the "community" this website runs on is consisted of nothing more than a bunch of anonymous Call of Duty loving 12-year-olds who think awesome bands such as Queen and Metallica are worse than BTS. I enjoy listening to both bands, but just because they're popular doesn't mean they suck. Another reason to point this out is my personal experience while creating a list about avoiding misleading news articles. It was successful to the point it was featured on the front page for about a week. Then some no-life votes the first item on the list then comes in saying "How is this a featured list?" Just like any normal person, I flagged the comment, and it was taken down the next day. Whoever removed that comment, thank you.
Third, the active users list. If you were to click on a user who agreed to not remain anonymous (unlike more than 75% of the entire "community") you would go to their profile page. About all these users have the same "Copy and paste if you love so and so, ignore if you don't" messages on their profile pages. It's just lazy, stupid, and talentless. What's even more lazy, stupid, and talentless is the fact that many of these people hate bands and music artists that DON'T EXIST. For example, some popular users wrote on their "Most Hated Musicians" corner as a part of their description. They said something like "Mr. Guy- I Hate Singing ([User] made him up)". Cringe, much. I asked myself why I even got on this website in the first place.
To summarize this, The Top Tens is basically cringe and trash in a can. Just look for some other website that actually allows you to express your opinion on things. As much as I hate YouTube nowadays, even people on THAT website have more reasonable opinions and feelings. Just do yourself a favor by staying away from The Top Tens.
