Everything about this trip was exceptional, from the very first email to the last day on the trail.
The build-up alone set the tone: communication was clear and consistent throughout, so by the time we landed we knew exactly what to expect and never felt caught off guard. That same care carried through the entire trip. Jean was outstanding, attentive, hands-on, and incredibly accommodating without ever making us feel any pressure. Every detail was so well handled that we could just relax and enjoy the mountains.
What really stood out was the planning. It felt like there was a Plan B, C, and D for every possible scenario, weather, timing, trail conditions, you name it. That level of preparation meant we always felt safe and at ease, even on the more demanding days.
The hotel selection was fantastic. Every stop was chosen not just for comfort but for the views, and we genuinely looked forward to each new base. And the hiking itself was spectacular: Seceda, Sassolungo, and the Alpe di Siusi were all showstoppers, each with its own character and some of the most breathtaking alpine scenery we've ever hiked through.
Our local guide Andrea deserves a huge shoutout too. He was warm, patient, and clearly deeply knowledgeable about the region, its trails, and its history. He brought a level of local insight that made the experience feel authentic rather than staged.
If you're considering a trip with The Sports Guru, do it. This is boutique adventure travel done right: personalized, thoughtful, and genuinely stress-free from start to finish. We came home with incredible memories and would book with them again in a heartbeat.
