Written by the company

The Site Vet offers advanced veterinary eye care for pets, either in their own home or through their local veterinary practice. I am an independent Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology providing detailed eye examinations, diagnosis, medical treatment and ophthalmic surgery. Each pet is treated as an individual, with care planned around their needs, comfort and wellbeing. My aim is to make high-quality ophthalmic care more accessible and less stressful, while giving owners clear explanations, practical guidance and treatment options that are appropriate for both their pet and their circumstances. I also work closely with the pet’s usual veterinary team to support continuity of care. At The Site Vet, the focus is on personal, compassionate and tailored eye care, combining advanced veterinary expertise with a convenient and approachable service at a fair and affordable price.

Exceptional Vet

Exceptional\.

Ashley has looked after our 12\-year\-old miniature dachshund, Darcey, for about three years\. He visits her at home for routine care and we see him in clinic for procedures\. Home visits mean he has a relationship with Darcey outside the clinical setting and have been central to the trust she has in him\. She loves him\. I trust him completely, and it is enormously reassuring to have Ash as Darcey’s vet\. Home visits are also practically helpful with my working life\.

Ash has restored Darcey’s eye health\. Her skin issues were difficult to diagnose, and he worked carefully to understand and treat them\. He has removed a number of benign and cancerous lumps\. His expertise in ophthalmology means he has an exceptionally steady hand and does surgery very neatly\.

I value that he listens carefully to me and takes seriously the things I notice about Darcey\. He is in touch with her complementary health practitioner, so everyone involved has an overall picture of her health\.

He takes a proactive approach to Darcey’s wellbeing, monitoring her chronic conditions and general health\. He is thoughtful, thorough and exceptionally kind\. Ash is an absolutely brilliant vet\.

Ashley was very knowledgeable and…

Ashley was very knowledgeable and filled me with confidence from the moment I met him.
My dog Rocky had developed quite a severe ulcer in his right eye, my local vet had performed two grid procedures which failed and it was very close to the point where we were going to lose the eye.
Rocky is almost 14 years old and a french bulldog cross, so the odds were not in his flavour.
Ashley prescribed a series of medications and a clear printed timetable which was really helpful and easy to follow, I sent Ashley videos each day for him to monitor progress.
Ashley and Tiago were very responsive and got back to me very quickly, follow up appointments very quickly arranged.
Rockys eye has now healed extremely well and has regained sight back in his right eye.
I'm extremely grateful to the site vet team and highly recommend them.

Ashley is excellent. My cat had a nasty eye infection and it had ulcerated. Due to his prompt action and the medication Simbas eye has started to heal well. Treatment has so far been 2 weeks and prognosis is good.

So many superlatives

So many superlatives. The Site Vet Doctor worked with my regular Vet throughout the night to bring our beloved whippet through a serious emergency. We are so grateful: for the expertise, the commitment and the care.
The same level of friendly service, communication and consideration has continued to this day, as my whippet receives ongoing care.
This is a Specialist Vet Service that works with you, that listens to your feedback and your concerns. Highly recommended.
