Just returned from another amazing trip hosted by The Scuba Place.
This dive trip was to Turks and Caicos, having John and Mona on the trip you know that should, not that it ever has, something go wrong they are on hand to sort it out.
There were 20 divers from around the UK and US, some new faces, but we all got on well and enjoyed the trip. The liveaboard crew were great too.
John and Mona are great at hosting a trip that they've organised or they can arrange a special trip for you or a group.
Already booked 2 trips for 2026 with them.

John from The Scuba Place curated an unforgettable adventure to the Maldives for my husband's 40th birthday. From the very start, planning was seamless—John took care of every detail with speed and precision, from booking perfectly timed flights that maximised our diving to securing a stunning liveaboard. The vessel was immaculate, and the crew were not only highly knowledgeable but also warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We had an incredible time, filled with breathtaking dives and unforgettable memories and cannot wait for our next trip with The Scuba Place.

I was looking to go on a diving holiday and found the Scuba Place via Google. Reached out to enquire and ended up on a hosted holiday to the Philippines with them which was amazing. They make sure to understand what you are looking for, your experience of diving and end up creating the most amazing holidays. I cannot recommend them enough especially if you are at the beginning of your diving experiences. I'm already looking forward to booking my next holiday with them, and going on another one of their hosted trips.

These are 'hosted tour' holidays, which means John and Mona ensure that everything goes to plan and should there be any issue they are there to resolve it without impacting the holiday. They facilitate some of the best diving I have had anywhere. Always planned to provide the best experience of dive sites and after dive dining and entertainment. Most trips are attended by a 'usual crew' of clients who keep returning for the repeat experience. However, new divers and new members to the group are made very welcome and looked after. With this crowd there are no 'ego's', no 'look at me's' just people who enjoy their diving and socialising in some of the world's most beautiful places and relaxing in good company afterwards. My thanks to them until the next trip which is already booked for next year.

We can not thank John enough for an incredible holiday! We had a few ideas, but he created a complete package and added some fantastic trips on land as well as dive sites we hadn’t considered. Well what can I say!! The scuba place have gone and pulled it out the bag again.
The recent trip to Scandi Divers in the Philippines was nothing short of incredible. We were looked after not only by the incredible dive resort but by John and Mona themselves.
Every single detail was planned and executed with perfection. Anything extra you wanted that you mentioned to John or Mona was taken care of.

The staff are some of the nicest people you can meet. The diving is spectacular. The place is comfortable/homely, but the food is top notch good job there is diving to work some of it off. You can also relax with a massage shame i had to come home.

This was just another amazing trip hosted by John, Mona and the gang at The scuba Place.
We had the luxury of travelling to the Philippines from Birmingham with a stop off in Dubai.
The Scuba Place didn’t disappoint with the Goods the flights were perfect not much stop over in Dubai which was excellent. Once we arrived in Manila there was hotel waiting for us to get out heads down after a long flight ready for the onward journey to Scandi Divers. The trip from the hotel was about 90 mins on a coach to take it us to the crossing port. 30 mins later on the speed boat taxi we were there, and what a welcome we received. All the staff lining up a band playing and the local children dancing as we got off the boat. To then be handed a hand made shell necklaces.
Now onto the resort. Well what can say, the staff here are incredible they remembered each and everyone’s name within the first hour of us arriving. And there were 38 of us, so not an easy task. Followed by a welcome meeting and getting to know the boat crew dive guides, before being given a 15 minutes head and shoulder massage to release the stress of the long journey. Then to given a complementary 90 min massage to take within the resort ( which are very good indeed) followed by a drinks water bottle which was personalised by The Scuba Place.
Now the best part of the trip. The diving !!!!!!! Wow wow wow is I can say. The marine life is thriving and the corals are so healthy. There was so much to see but not enough time (3 weeks) to see it all it was incredible.
At the end of the trip for those that went home. There was an end of trip party which was fantastic with a large Buffett full hog roast and fire dancers. It was a great party atmosphere and all the staff got involved to.
I have to say that this is by far the best diving trip I have been on and the scuba place go above and beyond to make things very special.
So thank you again John Mona and the gang for a memorable trip.

Personal service was important and dealing with John who had been to the location and 'tested out' the facilities. All details were covered and any issues that we had were dealt with quickly.

This was my Third time booking with The Scuba Place, and I felt I must leave a review. My daughter and I booked a live aboard and had the most amazing experience from start to finish. John (The scuba Place) arranged everything from start to finish. Not only was it very professional with regular communication it was good value for money too. Well worthy of the Five Star rating. The whole trip was professionally handled, and you were so helpful; always with a smile on your face. The locations were wonderful and I enjoyed the opportunities for varied dives; the laid back reef dives contrasting with the truly amazing shark dives. Thank you for a very relaxing enjoyable holiday with very exciting highlights.

Just returned from a hosted trip with John and Mona from The Scubaplace - what a world beating experience!
Not only had it clearly taken a huge amount of time and expertise to build out and execute this trip, the nature of the hosted trip meant that all the stresses of this type of holiday were taken away.
The itinerary involved multiple flights and hotels... but the real star of the show was the number of 'bucket-list' moments on this holiday - from diving with Hammerhead and Tiger sharks, to reef shark feeding and finishing with swimming with a pod of wild dolphins in the middle of the ocean... a simply AMAZING number of experiences.

An unforgettable Diving Experience with the Scuba Place and Scandi Divers in Puerto Galera, Philippines.

As a solo female diver, my journey to Puerto Galera, Philippines was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived after an overnight in Manila, I was welcomed with open arms and treated to a shoulder massage, a refreshing cocktail, and delectable tuna ceviche. This warm reception was unlike anything I had experienced before.

The seamless completion of all diving paperwork paved the way to my room, conveniently located just 200 meters from the dive centre, perfectly meeting all my needs. The attention to detail, like the adorable towel swans, added a touch of charm that only seasoned travellers can appreciate.

Being a French food enthusiast, the culinary experience at Scandi Divers was a true delight. The first-class meals featuring fresh, perfectly cooked produce were nothing short of a Michelin 1-star experience. I couldn't resist indulging myself twice in the a la carte menu, savouring the mouthwatering octopus in garlic and chilli, as well as the flavoursome mud crab - both of which I wholeheartedly recommend to all food lovers.

Moving on to the diving adventures, my trip took place in July, during the rainy season. Surprisingly, this worked in my favour, as the resort exuded tranquillity and charm. My guide, Larry, was an absolute gem, quickly adapting to my needs, photography skills, and air consumption, allowing me to witness the mesmerizing aquatic world of the Philippines. The treasures hidden beneath the water are unparalleled, making the diving experience truly extraordinary.

Diving in the Philippines with Scandi Divers was a breeze. With everything taken care of, from setting up my kit to swift journeys of 3-10 minutes to the dive sites, every moment underwater was a pleasure. The superb tank fills and the use of nitrox 32 throughout my two-week stay enhanced my overall diving experience.

Even when faced with the minor setback of having to visit the Doctor in Sabang, Scandi Divers made it effortless, ensuring I was back in the water after a mere 24 hours of antibiotics. I got to explore Verde Island, a natural reserve that felt like an absolute paradise both on and off the boat.

After a day of diving, I fell in love with the indulgent 2-hour massages, which left me feeling utterly relaxed. This was followed by a delightful G and T or Mango Daiquiri and a scrumptious supper, leaving me completely satisfied.

The Scandi Divers staff went above and beyond to be helpful, caring, and professional, making me feel at home throughout my stay. An unforgettable highlight was the PADI women's evening and the evening cruise, where the Filipinos demonstrated their exceptional hospitality and knack for throwing a memorable party, even under the rain.

John, the Scuba Place and Scandi Divers delivered on all fronts, exceeding my expectations in every way. The diving was spectacular, the food rivalled that of a Michelin 1-star restaurant, and the authenticity of the experience was truly unparalleled.

As I reflect on my journey, I can't help but yearn to return to Puerto Galera, and next time, I hope to share this incredible experience with my husband. Scandi Divers has my heartiest recommendation, and I can't wait to dive with them again.

After many years of diving & going back to the hotel at the end of the day, this year my brother & I booked on a liveaboard through John at The Scuba Place, onto a boat called Big Blue, in the Red Sea. From being picked up at the airport, all the members of staff on board & all the like minded divers from all over the UK, we had an absolute amazing week & finally came face to face with 6 different varieties of sharks. Plenty of memories & friendships made.
Looking forward to booking another trip hopefully real soon for 2024 through John/TheScubaPlace.

My husband and I have done a couple of hosted dive trips with the Scuba Place (which have all been brilliant). And I’ve just done my first solo dive trip with the scuba place in Egypt. I was a little nervous as this was the first time I have dived without my husband, but I knew I’d be looked after by the Scuba Place. John was brilliant and buddied with me for most my dives and just made me feel really looked after. I had an issue equalising my ear on one dive, so I felt really guilty as I was worried I was spoiling his dive - but he made no big deal of it at all and just stuck with me and took loads of fantastic photos (my own personal photo shoot!!) until I felt comfortable to continue descending. Would 100% recommend to those travelling in a group or by themselves.
