Lack of trust and honesty
I recently took my car in for a resonator delete to Thepitstopgarage providing the part myself which was brand new brought from a reputable performance retailer, the garage installed the part but unbeknown to me the car from factory didn't have a resonator in the first place, instead of the mechanic advising that 1. the part was not compatible 2. there would no point of installing the part as there was no resonator in the first place which any other non profiteering garage would of advised they installed the part, which as a result caused an issue with a squealing sound under acceleration due to the pipe not being exact fit. which the mechanic would of known, this resulted in me having to take the car to an independent exhaust specialist power flow, who advised of the same. I called the pit stop garage who initially tried to dismiss my findings, but then offered to refund some of the money I paid for the works and they would call me back to process however no call, and despite me calling on a number of occasions to chase still no call back, I cannot comment on other services provided but a big issue with any technical services provided a customer relies on trust and honesty, and this certainly hasn't been provided here, being involved in numerous high profile car events myself I certainly wouldn't be promoting the service I have received, I only used the garage because I wanted to support local businesses, moral of the story stick to who you know.
