My overall impression was that they did not care at all - almost glad to get rid of me. I got a new contract, transferred my number and shut the account.

TPO was started by three friends sharing a common vision. To transform something that people use everyday, their mobile phones, into a force for good. They launched it in late 2012 in the UK and it's been growing ever since. In January 2014, Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, joined the company. Our goal is to raise billions for good causes worldwide, delivering goodness with every connection made. 10% of customers’ mobile bill is directed to their cause or charity of choice at no extra cost to them.

Switch to them at your peril!!!!

They are the worst mobile provider I've ever used and i've used a lot over the years.Customer service is non-existent, emails go unreplied on a regular basis. Have been waiting weeks for a credit refund after moving to a different provider. They keep telling me it's been issued, however nothing has gone back into my account. Can't seem to get anywhere with them. Going to try and email the 'complaints' department, which probably doesn't even exist. Worth a go though!
Also, couldn't use my phone abroad last year. For some reason roaming didn't work. Spend the whole holiday with no mobile internet connection which was very frustrating.
Save yourself wasted energy and time and spend a bit more with a provider who have a proper customer service department.
Honestly.....when you factor in wasted time, it's really not worth the savings you get. In this case, you definately get for what you pay......which is non-existant customer service.
Literally the worst phone company I…
Literally the worst phone company I have ever been with. They have no customer service to actually get hold of and they have always put on extra charges, I have finally gone to EE after a couple of years with TPO and would strongly recommend not going with them. They seem cheap but I think only a couple of times have I actually paid the base rate and after receiving my new/last bill of £75.04 when I should be paying £19.99 per month I have finally broke, Please bare in mind my £19.99 per month should include unlimited text, calls and 3gb of data. I have now got over to EE and I now get unlimited calls, text and 40gb for £25.99. So go else where at all costs.
The worst mobile company I've ever had.
The worst mobile company I've ever had.
Terrible customer service and very poor service.
I firstly reported in March that I wasn't getting calls from some people and my data wasn't working properly loosing connection a lot of time. Customer services reported it to technical team who called me once after 2 months to try something. TPO never got back to me with a solution, needed to be me always getting in touch with them and the reply was always that they either expected it solved in 24-48hours or that it was being reviewed by their technical team and that's it.
Since June they started ignored all my forms of contact, my emails, my requests for call back, etc. Until today the situation is not solved and I'm being ignored.
I reported the situation to Ombudsman Services and today I got an email from TPO saying they offered me a "good will gesture" to refund me for 4 months of use. What a laugh! "Good will gesture" for charging me for a service i didn't have plus being treated like this for all this time.
I'm not accepting and I'm just hoping that Ombudsman Services get's me my full refund for all the money I've ever spent with them.
My boyfriend also had a TPO number and one month he expired his data and without any notice TPO just started to charge him for any MB used, charging him for £20 in total - when what happens normally when someone expires the data gets a text informing that is expired and asked to buy more data. The month later when he again expired his data TPO cancelled all his services, no data, no calls, no texts.
The biggest joke of a company. It's a big unfortunate as I swapped to them hoping to be with a more ethical company but not at all in the end.

Done roamin' with TPO
I joined TPO recently as I really liked the style and approach of TPO - especially the charity element. Individual advisers were helpful at first. But after 4 months, I'm leaving. Poor service and no roaming data from the beginning despite repeated requests. No attempt by TPO to resolve this in any meaningful way. All I keep receiving are emails saying 'let us know how we are doing'. Well, the answer is: badly.
Even the contact phone numbers they publish on their website don't work from a TPO mobile when abroad. It is almost laughable for a modern communications company. I really wish I had read the reviews properly before signing up. Would have saved a lot of time and inconvenience and money.
TPO are cheap on paper, but useless in practice and it will cost you more trying to sort out their incompetence. TPO? Terrible Phone Operator. Go elsewhere. No, really, GO ELSEWHERE.
Service fine now
Following on from my previous reviews, I have now had a couple of months of good service. It looks like the issue was only with their set up, and from the lack of recent comments it seems that this may now have been fixed. If the price is right then they are probably worth using.
Customer service is a absolute…
Customer service is a absolute disgrace. The way that fella spoke to me was insulting. My home Internet failed so my mobile TPO kicked in charging me for 50mb data £16. When I finally found got through to TPO I ended up cancelling sim card because of the atrocious customer service. I don't need a Pax number rather get a new number.
Go with the well known companies these cowboys offering a better write up but cannot deliver.
AVOID - AVOID - AVOID - AVOID
No roaming. No way for me to call them to help my mum with this issue.
My mum is supposed to have roaming automatically in Italy (she has a British number). She has no data so she asked me to try to sort out the issue. No number. No way to get a ticket on her behalf (I have to put her details and email address in for the ticket which is useless because she doesn't have data!) Really appalling service.

Re Data Roaming, Spain
Re. Data Roaming.
Customer service - many emails & over a period of 12 days of frustration - kept telling me to try to adjust my phone to be able to connect.
Finally TPO admitted that reception abroad was controlled by the local network (Movistar, Spain) & there was nothing i could do.
Awful
Awful. No help at all when trying to solve a sim issue. No phone no. to contact- they either phone you or you have to send them an email. Very unhelpful and didn't deal with the issue in hand. It is a shame that a company whose selling point is their ethics and principals offers such shocking service.
B***** dreadful access to support!
I entirely agree with those who find TPO's service terrible. For all the good work of donating 10% to charity TPO's service needs to improve considerably.
I was using Google maps for navigating and needed to see how much data I was using to do so. There was no way to contact TPO by phone. The 0845 number I had just didn’t connect thru, although my calls to other people did. As far as I know all other service providers have a number that subscribers can call to gain assistance. What use is a company whose business is communications and you cannot communicate with them????
Using the TPO web site thru my iPhone was no good either. The widgets that operate on a laptop don’t operate on a mobile phone so I couldn’t even log a callback from TPO (which according to their information could take up to 24 hours)!
Although the support person, Mohammed, I spoke to when I got home was polite and courteous he wasn’t able to put me thru to a manager as ‘none was available’. Maybe TPO is short staffed too or the managers are too scared to speak to customers! I am now seriously considering changing my provider.
Sad to say.
I`ve been with TPO for about three years now and sad to say the customer service is not twenty first century. In particular the out of hours service is non existent, while most of the phone staff have been polite and as helpful as the system will allow the management really need to get a grip and learn how to fulfil peoples expectations. I closed the account on the 14/05/2018 two days before rollover, and although I have received notification of account closure it is still live as at 02/07/2018. It is not enough to trade on the donation to charity if important things like customer service are allowed to fall by the wayside
Poor Reception and Customer Care
Terrible reception indoor and outside, call continually drop or callers cannot hear me, often mobile data will not work. TPO advisor stated that as they piggy back off the 3 Network they cannot do anything. I have requested PAC code and will be transferring to a new mobile operator. TPO were the cheapest but without proper reception or data it is not worth it. The online account system also looks awful and the customer call queues are very long.
Do not touch!
Do not touch! Got swallowed up with a good deal but failed to check the service. Problems after activation caused me to get in touch. Every time I did it was always my fault and that it was something that I did not do. Due to lack of support and effort from them I decided to leave. Still battling to get my £4.99 back even though I never used the service. update: They finally gave me my money back, but not without a battle.
Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company. Been over a week now since my purchase of a super bundle online and no services have been activated. The only response they give via email is sonething along the lines of "sorry our tech team are still working on resolving this. No, absolute nonsense, more like you mean the company is going into liquidation or something, but is still taking everyones money from top ups. I am filing all emails and the one phone call back after over numerous requests, for a case to pursue with trading standards.
They are a shambles company and are a disgrace to associate themselves with charity work etc, when they are robbing the hard working general public of money. My advice is to avoid baby companies like these which are branched off from bigger network providers, and pay the extra for a proper provider.
Totally Pointless Organisation
Oh dear, this really is bad. My wife signed up to tpo last week, she has already left. Transferred her number from ee and couldnt receive any incoming calls. As others have said, you cant contact anyone about it other than email a probably unmonitored inbox. Hopeless.
I would really strongly advise you look elsewhere for mobile providers, there are plenty of cheap good ones out there. If you must take a risk on these clowns at least use a credit card to pay, so that you can recover any money under section 75 of the consumer credit act.
You will inevitably need to....
No issues at all
At the time I signed up, it was the cheapest PAYM network by far for low usage. 4G coverage is as good as it is for Three, which is decent for most. Their website is very good for showing details about usage.
From what I've heard, TPO may be a poor choice if you plan on using your phone abroad. For UK use only, I cannot fault it.
You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. Patchy signal across London and Surrey (they use Three's network). Tried to upgrade my package to pay more and was told it was for new customers only. Being their customer won't be an issue anymore!
TPO makes TalkTalk look Good
This company make TalkTalk look professional I wouldn't recommend or advice any one go with this company I totally agree with other postings about this company it's just a pity I have to give one star. I would never trust this company with my wallet it's a pity I did with my bank account.
