Great play
Fabulous actors who had to learn so many lines and story good although you were not given enough evidence to be able to say guilty or not guilty.
I would have taken 3 stars off for the guildhall in Southampton. They checked our bags and then took our drink (orange squash) and sweets that we had taken (so we didn't have to spend a fortune on their drink and sweets, at a cost of £20!) and we could only get them back at the end, but of course when everyone was leaving it was a rubbish time to get stuff back. So we didn't. There was so much that they had taken off the audience members they could have opened a store! I guess the staff ultimately had it all. The ticket entry was also below par. The tickets didn't show up on lots of the audiences' phones, so we all had to queue to get the poor lady at the box office to sort it out for us. A shambles.
Basically 5 * for the play and 2 for the Guildhall.
Great from the word go
Great from the word go, serious and funny at the same time, there was 5 main characters they delivered the crime. Engaging to the jury, questions the jury would of had or didn't understand got told by the judge .
Voting was good as it got everyone speaking, and making decisions.
The verdict was a finalised and I like the way they showed the crime at the end....
Must say you will be shocked at the end with a twist in there.
We will be back, very different from my usual theatre
A Full House and Something A Little Different
I was worried to attend this yesterday after reading reviews about the company apparently becoming insolvent. It may well have previously. However, I'd also checked the venue website for event information.
We went to see trial number 3. It's based on a true story which is a great way to draw the audience in even more. Acting was of a good standard for the courtroom based dramatisation. Time went quickly and we really enjoyed it. A little witty in parts too which helped to make it enjoyable. The actors did well to learn so many lines! A fun afternoon out.
The company has gone bankrupt
Turned up to the event to find nothing there. Checked the website and the company had gone bankrupt. But no email to cancel the event.
😡😡😡😡
Where's the money?
Concept and show were great we attended the London show in June experiencing a really good night out.
Gripping, builds tension for the verdict nearest to being a real juror.
Too bad the production company put the project into liquidation owing the cast and support staff a month (some more) of unpaid fees.
Avoid like the plague
This company are fleecing people. The BBC are investigating as many hundreds have lost money from the charlatans that run this outfit. Do NOT be fooled by these reasonable reviews. Are they even from real customers? I don't even think they are in existence any more as lots of people have gone to the advertised venues to find they aren't even operating. I bought tickets before Covid which were not honoured and lost very nearly £300, and they have continued in this vein ever since. Be warned.
Bought tickets for 18th October - Glasgow
Bought tickets for 18th October, then on z2nd October received confirmation the company was insolvent and not to attend the event. They advised we should contact our card provider for a refund. Which are in the process of doing…. Today I receive a reminder email for the event. When I clicked on this you can actually still buy tickets for the event. Please note the event is at a different location from originally confirmed. What is going on here….??? I feel like is a complete con……..
The company has gone into insolvency
The company has gone into insolvency!
It was only pure luck that I found out, the night before we were due to go to the show in Shrewsbury. We didn't get any communication to say that it wasn't going ahead. Their automated emails are still running so it looks like it's going ahead. The main website link explains about the insolvency and says that you need to contact your bank for a refund.
NO SHOW, COMPANY CEASED TRADING
I had tickets for the York show on 27th September which I'd booked way back on 1st May. This was a birthday present for my husband. I received an email on the day of the actual performance (27/9) to say it was postponed due to bad weather and was given 1st November as a new date. On 30th September, just 3 days later, I received an email saying the company had ceased trading. I am trying to get my money back via my credit card but am clearly unhappy about the whole situation.
Insolvent company, lost money
Booked tickets for the York event (Sunday 29 Sept) which was "postponed" on Friday 27th due to poor weather and being late leaving the last city, apparently. Made me suspicious as the company suddenly files for insolvency on Monday 30th, but not before we had paid another £15 for venue parking to their parking partner, "White Line Parking Management". Just looked on Companies House now and White Line Parking isn't listed at all and despite using the BPA logo on their marketing email, White Line isn't listed on the BPA website either. I feel properly mugged off! Going to see if I can pursue a refund via my card issuer. Lots of people complaining on the Murder Trial Live Facebook page over the weekend before they deactivated it.
How ironic- the company is now
How ironic- the company is now
in Administration owing soo much money to ordinary people ! Hope the dragons den investors realise their mistake.
Company declared insolvent
This company has a public history of poor service, and now they are dissolved. The events planned for this weekend, they claimed couldn't be held due to weather conditions. They offered new dates, call our box office on Monday - then it began. No answer and later in the day, their website confirms insolvency. That didn't happen because of bad weather. Avoid anything to do with Samuel Piri at all costs!
Bankrupt company, no refunds
The company appear to be bankrupt! No shows going ahead, and can't be refunded the money!! Had no email about this, just saw all the pages have been taken down. Disgraceful
Gone bust
Gone bust! Sick of this happening...not safe to buy tickets online to anything anymore 😪
Gone Bust AGAIN
These are gone bust AGAIN so if your looking for your money back go to your bank and get a charge back. Can't post link to there website but look up Murder Trial LIVE
Why didnt I listen to the reviews?!?!
I read the reviews. Why didn't I listen and avoid this?! I'm a positive person so thought...I'll give it a try with low expectations. Surely it can't be that bad? Or so I thought...
Well they sent a load of emails to say the Friday night was cancelled but my show on the Sunday wasn't affected. Then a load of emails that were unclear stating the whole weekend was cancelled and re-arranged for late November. I cannot make the date and there was no mention of a refund. Just a number to contact to change the date.
I immediately rang when they sent the email on Saturday to verify it was cancelled and sort it out. But the only number they'd given, is a number you cannot contact. Why?!?!
They have cancelled it and should have expected calls. Or provided an email address as contact.
It's a number that you can only call between the hours of 11am-1pm Monday-Friday. Which is rediculous in itself.
I've rang 37 times with no answer so looks like I won't be able to get a refund or change my tickets. Just expect a short dialing tone that hangs up after a few rings.
It's not unreasonable to expect someone from the team to be contactable when they have decided to cancel. Not being able to get through to anyone at all is not on. I feel like I've been scammed.
Who knows if the November date will happen given that they cancelled this because of bad weather and the venue is a blow up inflatable marquee!!!
Not happy. Avoid like the plague.
ITS A SCAM AVOID!!
Our show was cancelled. New dates put on. Advised to call box office if you can’t attend. Call the box office and there’s no response. Looks like there’s no chance of getting my money back. DO NOT BUY TICKETS.
absolute disgrace - scam?…
travelled a long way to find the event had been cancelled, many others in the same position, only one had received notification and most of us had travelled a long way. On the day it was due to start the weather was bad but the following two days it was fine. Having wandered around for a while, we eventually found someone who told us it wasnt going ahead and looking on the web site it said they put more dates on and said the ticket would be valid be cant go on the new date. It is so annoying as the day before it said they were going ahead and they were still selling tickets to it on the day- despite i was cancelled. Now having seen the reviews think i will have a battle on my hands to get my money back, if I do I will be contacting consumer rights programs
Awful company. Avoid.
I received an email on Friday morning to say things werent looking good due to weather, but then had an update to say all is well and the event will be going ahead as normal.
So we drove to York, me from one place, the rest of the group from another...both over an hour away.
We had already booked a hotel because it was too far to travel home at night.
We went for something to eat then took taxis to the event to find no tent.
Someone else who arrived there said it looks as though its cancelled due to the weather.
Odd. It was not raining, nor was it windy. It had been fairly nice all day.
Im told we cant have a refund, just a change of date. And they arent responsible for taxis and/or hotels.
This company is a cowboy company who do not adhere to laws and are a nightmare to deal with.
The show was cancelled but nobody told us
The show was cancelled but nobody bothered to tell us, so we travelled a long way to be very disappointed.
They said that emails were sent out informing us, but we double checked and nothing was sent out. We received the six marketing emails fine though.
We also thought the marketing materials were very misleading. We had no idea it was in an inflatable arena.
