Most courses in this category begin at the end. The property finished, the listing live, and the hard work becomes adjusting the nightly rate, chasing the algorithm and patching whatever isn't converting.
The Hosting Masterclass starts, well — at the start, with the place itself. Our students build places of note, and a place of note rarely has to compete on price. Get the property right and the listing looks after itself.
That method is Sarah Andrews's own. Twenty years as a spatial scientist — the science of how space is measured, mapped and understood — and more than fifteen as an interior designer: this school is where those two halves of a working life meet, and it is the work she loves most. The curriculum is her original research, and it is still moving, still being tested and observed and rewritten, by her and by a large and busy graduate community reporting back from their own businesses and properties.
She proved it on her own buildings first, Captain's Rest among them, the one-bedroom shack she restored at Lettes Bay on Tasmania's west coast, where sky and water show from every corner of the room. She began teaching it in 2018, after an extraordinary influx of enquiries asking how she'd done it. In the years since: two internationally bestselling books on interiors and story, and thousands of successful students around the world.
Nothing in our school is assembled from what happens to be working on a booking platform this year. It is one body of original work, proved and re-proved on real student properties, and it keeps working whatever the industry does next.
The proof isn't ours to claim; it belongs to the graduates. Their stays now sit at the top of "best of" lists in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States — cottages, cabins, guest houses, farm stays, converted barns, châteaux and one-room boltholes, let on Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz and their own direct-booking sites. Most of them arrived with a dream and a quiet doubt. The line we hear most at the end is "I had no idea how much I didn't know."
Your first chapters are free — the real class, taught exactly as the rest of it is, not a highlights reel. We'd love you to go and experience the teaching for yourself before you decide to dive in.
What this school isn't? Rental arbitrage, property investment advice and strategies, or algorithm hacks. Styling, storytelling and hosting isn't a knack the lucky few are born with. It's a method, with real rigour behind it, it can be learned, and it is our pleasure to teach it.

Truly one of the BEST courses I’ve ever done, online and IRL. Sarah is the real deal. A brilliant stylist and airbnb host but more importantly a truly special human being. Generous, warm, uplifting and insightful- her course and more importantly the community she has fostered, will set you up for success in the short term hospitality space like no other course will. 5 stars is not enough!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review Emma. IRL, you're also seriously one of the best humans and hosts I've ever worked with as well. I can't wait to see your journey flourish and continue being a part of such a fantastic chapter in your story!
I completed The Hosting Masterclass in 2021, before embarking on our build journey in Esperance, WA and the knowledge I gained has been invaluable.
The course made me think differently about styling, our surroundings and most importantly how to create an experience that tells “our story”. So much of what I learned influenced the decisions we made throughout our build.
Now that we’re up and running, I’ve revisited The Hosting Masterclass over the past 12 months and also completed the pricing course to upskill my knowledge around pricing our property. It’s been fantastic to revisit the content at this stage of our journey and apply it in a practical, real-world way.
I’m so grateful I invested in the course. The knowledge and inspiration have stayed with me and continue to shape the way we host. Highly recommend The Hosting Masterclass, whether you’re just starting out or already hosting and wanting to keep learning.

Such lovely words to read Anna! I'm incredibly proud of what you've achieved, even just a year in. You should pat yourself on the back for taking the time to learn before embarking on such a serious but wonderful endeavour. You've definatly earned every single part of your success and even more that will come your way over the years.
Doing The Hosting Masterclass and the Supported Graduate Class has honestly been one of the best decisions I've made for my hosting business.
Sarah has been amazing in helping me grow The Inn, Beechworth from under 50% occupancy to well over 75% most months (and I'm still chipping away at getting it even higher). I'm especially grateful this has happened in such a tough, competitive market, when so many properties around me are finding it hard to book even a night or two.
I still find myself going back to the knowledge and resources she shares, time and time again, whenever I want to improve something about our accommodation. There's always something new to learn or tweak.
But more than anything, Sarah gave me the confidence to stay curious and keep exploring and learning. Thanks to her, The Inn: Beechworth is now one of the most booked and profitable accommodations in our area, and I couldn't be more grateful.

What an honour, pleasure, and joy it has been helping you grow your beautiful business, Lee, and continuing to take you to higher and higher heights! The gratitude is very much returned for trusting me to teach and guide you a million times over.
I did The Hosting Masterclass a few years ago, then came back for the Supported Graduate School just before launching Mawarra and I honestly don't think I'd be where I am without it.
I started out completely clueless about hosting, and nine months on I have a property with 22 five star reviews and made Superhost.
Sarah's taught me so much, and so has the community around her that really carries you with genuine support, real answers, whenever you actually need them, not just theory in a course module.
If you're thinking about hosting, joining THM is essential.
