Hi Max, thanks for the feedback. Our online shop moved to ScottishGin.com in February 2023 so perhaps you came across an old cached webpage for our old shop on The Gin Cooperative website which has not been active since early February 2023.
However if your review is for our shop ScottishGin.com we do our best to keep our prices in-line with what the producers charge so we try not to underprice the producer or overprice. Where we can unlike many other retailers we try to buy stock directly from the brands and producers where that option works, so we directly support the brands. Most retailers buy from wholesale so they can put whatever mark up their like on the products they sell as they will have bought the original product at a much cheaper price than what the producer sells directly to us. If you can let us know which product(s) you purchased that were more expensive we can certainly review.
We are just a husband and wife business operating everything ourselves so appreciate that perhaps for you our prices reflect our approach. However we do try and operate our business with principles and respect for the Scottish Gin brands and producers we work with. We will keep your feedback in mind when we run our price comparison check at the start of 2026 and appreciate you taking the time to leave your review.
