Ignacio showed us the wonderful Matarranya region with great knowledge. He adapted walking pace perfectly to that of the group and was very helpul. Simple, but good accomodation, great food.

Just back home from a great hiking trip in the natural parc Cabo the Gata. Excellent organisation by Ignatio. Scenery, hotels, food, company and guidance were all flawless and fantastic. Highly recommended !

Ignacio from 'The Eye is Delighted' has composed, and refined over many years, a great hiking week in Els Ports - his home region he's so familiar with. The trip offers just the perfect level of a challenge, and takes you to fantastic views of vary varied scenery - and with no other travelers whatsoever along the route to spoil your pictures :) Whenever Ignacio suggests a small extra extension/detour to the regular route, don't miss it - you'll be rewarded. Highly recommended!

Last week I, together with my friends, went for a hiking holiday to Picos de Europa, organized by local guide, Ignacio from The Eye is Delighted. It was a fantastic experience, with really amazing and challenging hikes. Ignacio, together with his side-kick Luis, were both very helpfull, flexible and gave lots of information. Also as a person, they were warm, open, agreeable and had a nice sense of humor. I am very glad to have done this trip with them. Thank you, Ignacio for this unforgettable journi.

I joined a group of Belgians on my first hiking trip in Spain. The trip itself was labeled "Matarranya" by the reseller where I booked, but is called "the three kingdoms trail" on the website of The Eye is Delighted.

GUIDE:
Although I've been on quite a few group hikes, this was the first one with a local guide. Throughout the trip, Ignacio was an endless source of information on geology, nature and the history of the area and its inhabitants. He has a very relaxed way of leading, becoming part of the group, kindly nudging us in the right direction. Knowing the area well, he can improvise, allowing the group to split up either to take a shortcut or a walk a bit extra when it's safe to do so. Arriving in Morella, both in the last evening and the return day, he organized a few extra culinary events at local restaurants and guided us through town in time that otherwise would have been waisted waiting at the airport. Even long after the trip ended, he still interacted with us via the WhatApp groupchat. I will gladly travel with him again on a future trip.

AREA:
Although it was quite hot for the time of year (reaching up to 35 degrees Celcius), it's not a difficult hike and there's plenty time each day, so you can go slower if needed. Normally I tend to walk quite fast, but here, even on the cooler days, I found myself slowing down to absorb the beautiful landscape and the old and often deserted buildings found in unlikely places (look inside and be surprised!). Go too fast and you miss the gems that are not in plain sight. The mix of nature and historic villages make for great photo opportunities. Apart from locals, we hardly encountered any other people until we reached Morella, which is brimming with activity and you need at least a day to see its highlights.

My second hiking trip with Ignacio, and again, a delightful trip in magnificent landscapes!
Perfect organisation, beautiful walks, and nice explanations about history, botanics and geography during the hikes.

Just got back from The three kingdoms trail. A wonderful week out under the guidance of a fantastic Ignacio. Different landscapes passed by during the week, Ignacio took the time to explain this part of Spain to us...

We had the priviledge of having Ignacio Teres organising our visit to Beceite. We were 14 Swedes there to celebrate my partners 50 birthday. Ignacio booked our stay at the fantastic Hotel Font del Pas (5 stars) and arranged our transfer and outdoor activities. Everything worked out perfect. We had a great time! Three days filled with trekking at the beautiful El Parrizal, canyoning in Barrancos de Canaletes and biking on Via Verde. Very professional and kind guides, Ignacios friends at Mattarana Aventura, took us on unforgetable tours. Everyone was super happy and our experience could not have been better. 5 strong stars! Many thank's Ignacio for arranging this for us. Next time we hope you will have time to join us.

We hiked in El Maestrazgo 13-20 October 2021 and we loved the scenery, the solitude, the villages and small towns, the history. We stayed in hospitable hotels and casas rurales serving good meals. Ignacio did a great job organising our hike. He is a rich and knowledgeable source of information, and a very friendly person. Thank you, Ignacio, for your commitment to making our Maestrazgo hike such a nice adventure!
