Having had the misfortune of being faced with a 6 mth disqualification for totting up. I found Stephen through the Wigan and Leigh courthouse website.
Appointing a lawyer / solicitor to represent you is difficult. I’ve never had to do this ( and don’t intend to in the future) however from the first contact Stephen was re assuring, supportive and positive.
Throughout the whole process which is pretty overwhelming when you consider the terrible consequences of a ban, Stephen was available and thorough. He took time to prepare me for court and really made sure every element was scrutinised before my appearance ( even the letter headed paper my work letter had been written on was double checked !)

Regretfully the representation was not what I expected. I don’t feel as though I was listened to or that all avenues were explored as promised. I don’t think Stephen’s delivery in court could be described as eloquent but in fact it was rather disappointing - so much so that at the time I thought to myself I wouldn’t blame the judges for zoning out ( Stephen himseIf said he didn’t think they were listening ). I wish I went it alone. As painful as it is to say his fee was not justified at all.

I thought twice about publishing this review as I appreciate that Stephen is an independent trader. However those considering his service will be particularly vulnerable. Ultimately in my opinion the fact that he did not provide a link for a review upon the conclusion of the case as promised confirms that his motivation is revenue and not performance or outcome for the client - the appearance of success not success itself. Sycophantic.
