A really big fat waste of time

A really big fat waste of time. Don't order if you're not from America is the gist I'm getting when reading down through reviews. Very disappointing. Just received refund for something I paid for last November - it's Feb 22 now - and thereby didn't get my brother anything in the end. What a crap company. This is exactly why you should just shop local.

It appears to be the case with many other reviewers here. My advice to anyone outside of the US is to shop in your own country. I congratulate them on the well-made ad and thank them for the drop in likelihood that I'll be fooled by such empty flashiness again.

Kiritsuke Men with the Pot knives

the cooking guild did some collaboration kiritsuke knives with Men with the pot and they are amazing! I had a whustoff chefs knife before and while it was awesome the kiritsuke knives were much better. they are lightweight with great balance. I've had them for about a year now and they are just as sharp as when I bought them. I use them daily. Highly recommend their knives, uve been looking into purchasing a few of their other knives as well

My first online review

My first online review. These are nice knives!! I stumbled across them, not holding my hopes too high. Boy was I wrong. As someone that makes a living as a “craftsman,” I understand quality, and these nailed it. I’m 44 and have never had a good set of knives. The quality and sharpness are second to none. I use these daily and actually look forward to having a reason to reach into the drawer. The older I get, the more it takes to impress me, but these 3 knives hit that mark.

Do not buy….hold on a sec

UPDATE: the knives arrived and they are amazing! I’d had a pretty horror experience similar to many others order in and getting no delivery information and poor service. As a last effort I reached out via Facebook. This person jumped into action and got things sorted. With a week I got my knives. They are amazing. So in summary great knives but if you overseas (I’m based in Switzerland) they have some issues with their delivery service that needs to be ironed out but overall a very pleased customer. I couldn’t give 5 stars because of the overall experience but the knives are 5 stars

ORIGINAL POST: Do not buy. Same experience as other users. I put an order in Nov 21 and was given a link which looks like UPS but the order number has no tracking information. They said they got lost and would re-send. I’ve reached back out to them but no refund or knives

Top Class service and products

Eddie and all the team at The Cooking Guild were amazing. Their products are top tier craftsmanship and are well worth the price. They’re customer service is great nothing is too much of a issue, they always go the extra mile

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! Absolute awful service!!!!! Ordered five knives in November never arrived. Complained on numerous occasions and was fobbed off!! After being told that they had resent my order, today they have emailed saying they have refunded the money. They never fulfilled my order and I don’t think they had any intention of doing so. Still haven’t received a refund or the product. Worse service I have ever experienced. These people don’t no what they are doing and I think are a scam

Select service and quality forgemanship

The shipping and handling was quick and seamless! Can't even begin to say enough about the quality of the blades 🥰 I recommend the Dynasty series cleaver, out of the box was much sharper than expected. Right now gravity is doing most of the work!

Support requests ignored..

Really unfortunate experience with TCG. I ordered a knife from them on the morning of the 11th January and was emailed later that day saying my order had been shipped and was provided a tracking number. After 9 days the tracking number still showed that UPS had yet to receive any item to ship. I enquired about this through the support and received a response stating
"Thank you for reaching out to us.
Please be advised that international order takes 15-25 working days."

That is absolutely fair enough and I understand the basic response.
Unfortunately though, after 25 days had passed I emailed again as UPS still hasn't received an item to even ship me. It has now been NINE DAYS with no response from the support team and I'm worried I've lost over $200 as it feels as though they simply don't care.
I would be writing a different review if someone simply had informed me of why it's been delayed so much but the zero response is just unacceptable and has me worried I'll be left out of pocket :(

Scammers

My post would read excellent the same as the last review. I ordered a fill set of Dynasty knifes in November and it never arrived!. I was told it was customs and it will be re-posted after the holidays. I've since sent 4 emails and had no response!!!!! I've also commented of a Facebook advert of theirs and had other people say just the same. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!

SCAM!!! Wouldn't give a 1 star to this company

Wouldn't give a 1 star to this company, just had to select to leave a review.
BEWARE!! You may order a knife however it will never arrive.
Ordered a Dynasty Serbian cleaver 7/1/23 and it hasn't arrived. Upon complaint, I received what was clearly an automated message, given the speed of reply, to say British customs have returned many orders which the company are looking into. I was also given the option of a refund and won't hold my breathe.
Extremely disappointed as this was a birthday gift for my husband, costing £98 including postage 😡

Scamming company!!

Scamming company!!! Made an order on black friday last november!!! Was for a xmas present and never arrived. Was told was a customs issue. Constantly ignored all my messages and all my emails. Then in January told me they would resend replacement which would be a birthday present for someone close, havent arrived. Been given 3 different tracking numbers all of which show it hasnt even been scanned by UPS for nearly 2 weeks!!!! Ignoring all my messages and emails. How do these people operate a business?????? Disgraceful. Continuous lies about where package is and have taken a lot of money (for me) for a special present. Genuinely disgraceful.

It's been almost 2 weeks since…

It's been almost 2 weeks since Thecookingguild announced that my package had left ..... always the same one since January 10th when they had announced the sending of the package! This package never left, the tracking number indicates that it was not even taken care of.
It's already 5 times that TheCookingguild announces something false..... and then they say that they are not scammers....

Isn't it easier to tell the truth if you are really honest as you claim? Aren't you tired of lying?

I would like to remind you that my order was placed on November 20, 2022, which is more than 2.5 months ago. Two and a half months you tell me that the package is in transit ..... You really have a lot of nerve!

But in the end, you are the one who is losing little by little all the credibility you have left.....

Dreadful Customer Service

Bought a set of Knives at the end of Novemeber for over £200, expected a long lead time for delivery but Jan came around and still no updates so I reached out to customer services to ask what was going on and was told there was some customs mix up and a load of orders where sent back to them, fine, these things happen, would have been nice to have been informed about it but whatever. I asked for a refund, this was at the start of Jan, back and forth emails for a week or so saying to wait a few more days, wait a few more days, wait 7 days then dead air. I've had to raise a claim via PayPal to get my money back as they clearly have no intention on giving me back the money I'm owed. Shame too as they looked like great knives

Absolutely horrendous customer service!

Absolutely horrendous customer service! Tried to cancel the purchase of an item immediately, with multiple emails and messages, it was shipped before anyone contacted me back. I then had to pay for the shipping back to the company out of my own funds and am STILL awaiting the refund of $128.50 from DECEMBER! it’s now February….

Scam site stay clear

I made an order for the Serbian clever on the 11/12/22. I waited 15 working days for the item, checking the tracked delivery info each day. The item had not left the country of origin in the whole 15 working days. I contacted the cooking guild to find out why this was and was then told customs had rejected some orders. Fair enough, I was slightly frustrated this was not communicated to me but they asked if I wanted the item resent or my money back. I asked for the item to be resent as it is a xmas gift. It took the cooking guild 2 weeks to process another order to be sent and I am back to square one again. UPS say they are waiting to receive the package which was supposedly sent to them 8 working days ago. The cooking guild are now ignoring my emails. I am going through PayPal to claim my money back. This website is a scam, please read the other reviews before you make the same mistake as me.
Update 11/02 - After leaving this review you can see The Cooking Guild replied with a message saying they would reach out to me. Nothing of the sort has happened. I have emailed them again this week and still had no reply.

Bought a set of knives during black Friday, no refund no knives.

I bought a set of kitchen knives from them on Black friday last year, and it's been a month and there was no update on the status of my order. Then found out that my knives have been sent back to the seller. And this was only after I have been continually asking them about the status of my order. So I asked for a refund and they said they'd give me a full refund after a few days, but it's been 2 weeks and still no refund.

Honestly, I just wanted a set of knives, not having to put with this much drama.

Exquisite Quality and Perfection

As an American I tend to be skeptical about the quality I might receive in a product. I was more than pleased with the quality and craftsmanship I received with the Dynasty series knives from the Cooking Guild from the UK.
