Confirmed hire for a dress to be delivered on the 23rd August, on this date I realised I had no tracking info for this nor had it been delivered so I contacted the company on instagram as we had previously conversed on instagram regarding confirming the dates for my order.
She replied to tell me she hadn’t received the dress from the previous renter and that she had emailed me about this and tried to message me on instagram but couldn’t find our previous messages to message me…. My instagram handle has my surname in it so it shouldn’t have been difficult to find given all my details were provided when I booked the rental on her website.
I have had no emails from them other than my confirmation email, despite her telling me she had emailed me. Still don’t have any emails nor has she forwarded me the original email to prove this was sent.
It shouldn’t have taken until the day I was due to receive the dress for me to find out It wasn’t coming….
I had to cancel my plans this morning to be able to go to the shops to buy a dress, shoes and bag, I now have to return the shoes and bag I purchased to wear with the dress as they don’t suit my new dress. Caused completely unnecessary stress and wasn’t handled very well.
I don’t believe the previous renter had yet to return the dress as you get charged 40% if you’re late to return. I think she double booked the rental and forgot it was even due to be with me.
Just really disappointing, they do have some lovely dresses and hopefully my experience is just a one off.

To clarify, this was indeed a rare and unfortunate situation where the previous renter did not return the dress on time. I want to assure you that I did attempt to reach out to you as soon as I became aware of the issue. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate your Instagram handle to follow up, which contributed to the delay in communication. This is certainly not the level of service I aim to provide.
Please rest assured that I would never double-book a dress. The previous renter has been charged the late fees, as per our policy, and this situation is a one-off.
I hope that you might consider giving us another chance to provide you with the service and experience that we pride ourselves on.
