Poor accountability and lack of follow through
I joined The Gloss Club last year after being approached with an offer of “unlimited treatments” in exchange for a £1,000 upfront fee.
While I can’t fault the quality of the treatments themselves, actually accessing them has been incredibly frustrating. It was consistently difficult to secure bookings, and even appointments made well in advance were frequently cancelled or rescheduled at very short notice.
Most concerning is what’s happened more recently. After my last appointment was cancelled, I’ve been unable to rebook at all, and communication has been very poor. It now feels like once payment is taken, there is little follow-through or accountability.
Overall, the service does not live up to what was promised. The combination of unreliable scheduling and lack of access makes the membership poor value for money. I would not recommend The Gloss Club based on my experience.
Extremely disappointing and…
Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience.
I purchased a lymphatic massage through a third-party platform used by this business to sell their services. I was asked to provide my voucher code in advance just to book an appointment, and it was redeemed immediately — long before the service was due to take place, as I was told this was necessary to secure the booking.
After redeeming the voucher, I was then informed that no appointments were available for nearly a month, despite initially being led to believe that availability would be much sooner. This already highlights serious issues in how they manage bookings and timelines.
To make matters worse, when the appointment date (over a month later) finally came around, it was cancelled the day before at 9pm, despite the fact that I had proactively asked for confirmation three days in advance and received no response.
Communication throughout was extremely poor, with delayed responses, lack of clarity, and being completely ignored when trying to confirm important details. This entire situation reflects very poor organisation and serious mismanagement of timelines. Whatever the excuse may be, it is simply unacceptable that after waiting nearly a month, the service still could not be provided.
I was also told that someone could come to my home instead, which made the situation even more concerning. I paid for a service in a “luxury” clinic setting, and I am not comfortable having someone from a business that has handled things so poorly come into my personal space. This does not feel appropriate or reassuring.
If you are reading reviews because you are considering booking with them, I would strongly advise you to think twice and look elsewhere. There is something clearly not right in how this business operates.
As a result, I never received the service I paid for. The lack of accountability and professionalism is extremely disappointing.
Very poor experience overall.

EDIT: Do not be taken in by their response to this review which I believe to be automated. If any senior member of the team was actually interested in resolving this with me, they could have responded to my many emails including the most recent one where I sent a Letter Before Action.

I purchased a 12-month membership with The Gloss in March 2026, advertised as providing “unlimited treatments”. I largely did this as I have friends who purchased memberships that started last year and had good experiences.
In practice, I found it very difficult to access the service. The booking process requires calling the clinic, and despite repeated attempts over more than two weeks, communication was often unresponsive. I received no response to attempts to schedule or request a refund.
I am in the process of taking this business to court.
I strongly suspect any recent positive reviews are not genuine. My friends are also no longer able to contact the clinic.

Enjoying the unlimited beauty membership. I paid £999 and I get a massage and facial weekly. Well worth it!

I got my partner a membership last year and she’s really enjoying it. I’m yet to book any treatments myself. Thanks for this!
I found out about the unlimited…
I found out about the unlimited treatments package through a friend and decided to give it a try, and honestly it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the first appointment I felt completely at ease and that feeling hasn’t changed, which is probably why I’ve ended up coming back every two weeks without fail.
What I really like is how easy everything feels. There’s no stress around booking individual treatments or overthinking what I should have done, it just fits naturally into my routine now. The team are always so welcoming and take the time to understand what I’m looking for, so every visit feels personal rather than rushed.
Over time I’ve definitely noticed a difference, not just in the results but in how consistent everything is. The clinic itself is always clean and has a really calm atmosphere, which makes it something I actually look forward to rather than just another appointment to tick off.
Overall it’s been such good value and I’d genuinely recommend it to anyone who’s thinking about regular treatments. It just makes everything simpler and a lot more enjoyable.
This seems to be a scam
This seems to be a scam - they seem to close their clinics and never reopen them .
Do NOT take out any memberships it is all a lie.

I had a hydrafacial last month and my skin has been been crazy clear since then I need to go back and get another session
I purchased a £1,000 unlimited…
I purchased a £1,000 unlimited membership after being told I would be able to come in regularly for massages and laser treatments. I made it very clear from the start that I could only attend on Saturdays, because of my job and I was reassured that this would not be a problem.
After starting the membership, I discovered that laser treatments are in fact only available on Mondays and Tuesdays — something that was never mentioned before I paid. Had this been communicated transparently, I would obviously not have signed up.
Trying to book appointments has also been extremely frustrating. I was repeatedly given inconsistent or misleading information about availability, making it very difficult to actually use the membership.
What has been most disappointing, however, is the complete lack of communication. After raising these issues and requesting cancellation and a refund for the unused portion of the membership, I was told the matter would be reviewed. Since then, my emails and calls have simply been ignored.
The only positive part of the experience is that the few massages I had were good. Unfortunately, the other treatments I tried were of very poor quality and appeared to be carried out using very cheap products.
Staff were also extremely unprofessional when issues were raised. On several occasions I was told that the matter was “not their responsibility”, yet when I asked who I should speak to instead or requested a contact number for someone in charge, no one was able or willing to provide one or direct me to the appropriate person.
Overall this has been a very frustrating experience and far from what was promised when the membership was sold.
They Scammers for clients
They Scammers for clients, same as in not paying contractors.
The work you see in the shops is done with our hard earn money. But no payment in the end.
If they deny I will upload pictures for proof.
No Payment, No Communication, No Accountability
The Gloss did not honour the agreement we entered into (for which there is documented proof), and their response to my previous review was not entirely accurate.
- Commission-free sales (first 3 months): I was promised access to a payment portal to track sales. This was never provided, and I received no communication or visibility on whether any products sold.
- Immediate payment on launch day: The contract specified immediate payment for launch-day sales (approximately £265). This payment was never made.
- Ongoing partnership (9 months): The agreement included a further nine months of partnership. After launch day, I received no further communication or sales records—something other retailers provide as standard.
- Removal of products: I sent multiple requests for my products to be removed from The Gloss website. These requests were ignored.
I contacted The Gloss repeatedly via email, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with documented proof. None of these messages received a response.
This represents a clear failure to honour the contract and a disregard for both professionalism and transparency.
THEY ARE SUPER SCAMMERS!
Our experience with The Gloss has been nothing short of a nightmare. We approached them to launch one of our brands and host an event, paying £2,800 upfront and sending stock in good faith. What followed was a calculated and deliberate scam.
They abruptly cancelled the event, then blocked all my phone numbers so I could no longer reach them. Soon after, they claimed to have “secured” a Selfridges listing for my brand — but only if I paid an additional £25,000 immediately. They harassed me with calls, even at midnight, pressuring me to transfer the money without delay. Alarmed, I contacted Selfridges directly, only to be told there was no listing and no arrangement — it was all a fabrication.
We travelled to London expecting an event and training session, but nothing had been planned. The entire engagement was smoke and mirrors — designed to take money and deliver nothing. In my opinion, this is outright fraud. Avoid this clinic at all costs.

They refuse to refund money owed.
Unfortunately, The Gloss Clinic is not 100% honest with their services and dealings. The first incident I had was with my husband’s account where he paid for my treatment and The Gloss took £15k out of his account instead of £2k. We obtained the refund via our bank’s disputes team.
The second altercation was when I paid the clinic a total of £7k where by £6k of that was suppose to be refunded. The clinic said the refund went through, and it didn’t (see screenshot provided). This went on for a month. I had to call American Express disputes team to get £3500 refunded.
The other £3500 I paid via BACs and currently speaking to trading services to try and obtain the refund.
The third issue I had with the clinic was the package I bought for £999 with was to include all treatment aside from Botox and Fillers. It was only 2 months later when I booked my Lumi eyes that I was told injectables were not included. This was not what was told to me over the phone when the package was sold.
Now the clinic refuses to give me my refund for the £999 package. They have however said they would discuss and include other injectables in my package for the mis-communication. This only came once I threatened to let all the mums in the area know of my experience.
During this time other mums have got in contact with me stating that they had the same issue and it took months for them to obtain a refund. I’ve posted screen shots of the WA communications on Google Reviews as evidence (as Trust Pilot does not have this feature), it includes:
- Message from me trying to amicably sort the situation, however, all my emails currently bounce back from The Gloss hence the WA
- Message from other mum who has had the same situation and trouble in trying to obtain a refund
- The confirmation that my refund has gone through, when nothing hit my bank account
Others may have had different experiences, however, due to my current situation, I do not recommend the clinic. It is unfortunate as the staff in the clinic are lovely and amazing. Head office and the ones making the decisions seem to not be able to take accountability for their mistakes. Or have a habit of refusing to refund monies owed.
The Gloss Clinic Ignoring Court Ruling – Join Group Claim
I am posting this as a public notice: The Gloss Clinic has failed to pay a court-ordered compensation of over £6,000 owed to our business following a legal ruling. Despite the judgment, no payment has been made, and I have had to initiate enforcement proceedings.
I have since discovered multiple other individuals reporting similar experiences, ranging from undelivered services to unpaid refunds and ignored court claims.
If you are also owed money by this business or have a legal judgment that remains unpaid, please reach out: giuliatrinci1atgmail.com. We are exploring group legal action under CPR 19.8 and enforcement options to recover what is owed and prevent further harm to others.
This is not an opinion, it is a factual account supported by a court ruling. I strongly advise anyone considering this clinic to exercise caution and do thorough research.
Daylight Robbery
I have written proof from the gloss clinic that they will refund my £1000 and they have only refunded half, and only because they realised we kniw people in common, and i have proof for everyone to see their horrific emails. However, I am still waiting for my £500 refund. Madeleine the co-owner says she can't do anything, basically so be it. Daylight Robbery.
Beware of these people. Stay away. Save your money
Johanna, or as she likes to be called Lady Johanna, rented our property 4 months with her partner Kevin King, aka Kevin Yfeko, aka Iyoula Yfeko. They declared their joint income as £300,000 just to pass the reference stage. As soon as they got the keys to the house, they haven’t paid a single penny towards the rent. They have been racking up invoices and failing to pay everyone that they owe money to, including the electricity, the gardeners, the sewage company. To make matters worse, neither Johanna or Kevin actually reside in the property. They lied to the estate agents about their intended use. They rent out big houses and mansions to use for SPAC nation, now renamed as The Fxmily/ Nxtion Family, and pretend to be wealthy individuals driving expensive cars with large incomes.
We just want them out of our property but they are refusing to leave. They are owing £40,000 so far in rent.
Furthermore, Lady Johanna Duque Gutierrez has her own company registered as LadyJo London and she seems to be operating from the same address as The Gloss. I don’t understand how that is possible when apparently she’s earning £92,000 as a Senior Beauty Consultant and running her own company with declared accounts.
There is something clearly not adding up.
We have had no choice but to come here and leave reviews to make our frustration clear and warn others from conducting any sort of business with these people. Stay clear and secure your money. If anyone wants clarification or evidence of these allegations, we are happy to supply whatever is required.
