Delay in credit refund at the end of contract, but after a quick call, Manny and the team sorting this for me straight away. Appreciate good customer service

About Bunch
Written by the company
Using innovative technology we are able to simplify people’s everyday lives by bunching ordinary, household bills into one platform and one monthly predictable bill.
We have created a selection of personalised packages to suit our differing customer needs. Meaning we’re able to help all our customers from students, to renters to homeowners.
Through our easy-to-use platform, customers are able to pick and choose what products they want to bunch into their package with options such as energy, super-fast broadband, water, contents insurance and lots more.
If our customers want to split their bills with other bill-payers they are able to do so (whether that be housemates or a partner). This allows our customers to have individual, personal liability and stops them being affected if others in the household have issues making payments. This helps to protect our customers and ultimately remove another layer of bill stress.
It’s important to us that our customers spend less time dealing with the hassle of bills and more time doing what they love. So at Bunch, we do all we can to make managing household finances easy.

DON’T DESERVE 1 STAR 🤬😡🤬😡
1 STAR — BUNCH: AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE
SCAMMERS? That is honestly how this experience has made me feel.
My experience with Bunch has been absolutely shocking. The bills kept increasing, and just when I thought I had finally reached the end of the account, there was another charge.
I cancelled my contract and received what was supposedly the FINAL BALANCE. You would expect that to mean exactly that — the final amount owed. But apparently not. After giving me one final amount, I was then told that I owed even more money afterwards.
How many times can a “FINAL BILL” change?
This whole situation has left me feeling like I was constantly being charged more and more, with no clear and satisfactory explanation. It is incredibly frustrating when you believe your account is settled, only to be told later that there is another amount to pay.
This is not how customers should be treated. Billing should be clear, accurate and transparent, not something that leaves customers constantly questioning what they actually owe.
In my opinion, we need to stop accepting this kind of business practice. Companies should not be able to take advantage of customers who simply expect to receive a clear bill and pay what they genuinely owe.
I sincerely hope more and more people stop using companies when they have experiences like this. Customers have the power to vote with their feet, and if enough people refuse to tolerate confusing bills and unexpected additional charges, perhaps companies will finally realise that customers deserve better.
For me, the experience has completely destroyed my trust in Bunch.
Never again. I would not recommend Bunch to anyone based on my experience. Check every bill, keep every document, and do not assume that a “FINAL BALANCE” will actually be the final amount.
Good CS Experience
I received a bill from Thames Water in error and flagged it with the Bunch team.
Amaree was prompt in responding and assured me that Bunch would take care of this and explained the actions they would be taking in detail so all was clear and helpful.
Avoid this Company
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Your monthly payments are increased due to "Usage". When you cancel after finding cheaper alternatives, they suddenly impose a huge final invoice without any proof of Kilowatt Hours consumed. I even received a bill for the previous year '24 to '25 which had been settled and a new contract drawn up for the next year '25 to '26. Even when you declare a dispute they continue to direct debit monies off your account and you are powerless to stop them. This is the equivalent of a "legitimate" scam. Do NOT use The Bunch there is zero benefit you will end up paying more than staying with the service providers.
Great communication
Great communication, great service, Amaree was lovely and helpful.
I was helped by Aaliyah
I was contacted by Aaliyah, she helped me with a meter reading that was confusing, She did a good job.
Thanks Aaliyah!
Extremely poor experience
Extremely poor experience – would not use Bunch again
My experience with Bunch has been extremely frustrating from start to finish, particularly when it came to billing and managing my account.
I was repeatedly given conflicting information about my balance. My account showed different amounts at different times, despite me making payments and trying to resolve matters properly. My final bill indicated an amount of around £250, yet when I later logged into the account to settle the balance, the website was showing over £500.
I was then informed that my final outstanding balance was £480.04 and that a payment plan would be arranged. This was particularly frustrating because Bunch had previously confirmed by email on 30 April 2026 that they would take £160 per month over four months. Only one payment was taken, and the remaining three months passed without Bunch taking the agreed payments.
It now appears that the outstanding balance has been recalculated because Bunch failed to take the payments they had previously arranged.
I have also experienced issues with meter readings, estimated readings and charges on the final account, which has made it very difficult to understand exactly what I actually owe.
The biggest problem has been the lack of consistency and clarity. I have had to repeatedly check the account, question changing balances and chase explanations for issues that should have been straightforward for the supplier to resolve.
I have now left Bunch and am simply trying to settle the account and move on. However, the way the final account has been handled has been unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming.
Based on my experience, I would not use Bunch again and would recommend that anyone considering switching to them carefully checks their bills, payments, meter readings and account balance throughout their time with the company. Or better yet, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Aaliyah
Bit of a long time to get a reply but every time Aaliyah replies, she always give me the correct and useful info
Avoid at all costs
This company has repeatedly sent me invoices for amounts that have already been paid. I have had to send them screenshots of my payments and tell them when I sent the transfer because their billing department is in shambles and they cant find them. Proceeded to threaten me with a 30 day court action notice then less than 48 hours later send me a 14 day court action notice. I should not have to send screenshots of payments made in order to get them credited to my account, or to avoid court action notices. I am also still owed money that I had to pay to british gas because the utilities from the bunch were not active when we moved in.
Avoid doing business with this company at all costs. Better to do the leg work yourself and set up your own utilities. The few minutes of convenience they offer is not worth the hours of headaches you'll receive.
Avoid avoid avoid
Moved into a rented property February 2025, the letting agent recommended Bunch to us. We signed up and everything was going absolutely fine, to the point where we decided to continue using Bunch once we had purchased a new home.
We notified them that our tenancy was ending and they confirmed all of our utility bills would transfer straight over to our new address.
We continued to pay them hundreds each month, under the impression it was going towards our bills. We started to receive letters from our energy provider and water company demanding to know why we hadn’t paid a single bill since moving in. Frustratingly, we had put our trust in Bunch who have literally just been taking hundreds from us each month. They are impossible to get ahold of, their phone line has been cut off, they ignore emails. Avoid this company like the plague.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience, stay away!
My experience with Bunch Energy has been extremely frustrating. The amount I was being charged kept increasing, and at one point I discovered I was being charged twice in the same month. I stopped the Direct Debit and started making payments manually.
Whenever I contacted them, I either got no clear explanation or was told they couldn’t figure out what was happening. My contract eventually ended, and I emailed them to confirm that I did not want to continue and requested my final invoice so I could settle any outstanding balance.
Despite making payments through the app, and actually overpaying, they still raised an objection when I tried to switch to another company. I even sent them proof of payment, but received no proper resolution.
To make matters worse, I discovered they had apparently set up a new contract, with a monthly amount that is absolutely shocking. I could grill fish every day and cook for my neighbours and still struggle to understand how I would use that much energy!
Overall, a very disappointing and stressful experience. I would strongly advise people to check their bills carefully and think twice before signing up.
Very good!!
They don't even deserve the 1 star review. Scam company
I was automatically registered on this website when I was referencing for an apartment. Didn't go through with it and Bunch is trying to charge me for an apartment I never lived in. Tru Energy contacted me saying I owe, I gave them evidence I never moved into said apartment and they later removed my details and apologised. These Bunch guys are shady, the 5 star reviews are obviously shit. They have been sending emails to pay over 200£, my bank is well involved in this case and have every evidence and also reported to relevant authorities and it's been well over 3 months of emails. Advice to you, stay away from this silly company, they obviously do the same with everyone. Trying to rip people. Disgusting act.
SOMETHING VERY SHADY IS GOING ON WITH THIS "COMPANY"
Still absolutely no resolution from The Bunch, despite providing comprehensive evidence.
Shockingly, the actual energy supplier (Truenergy) has now openly admitted a billing mistake. Yet, The Bunch continues to ignore the facts, with their latest automated demand claiming I still owe them £850.
If you look closely at the sudden influx of 5-star reviews on here, a blatant pattern emerges. Click on the reviewer profiles: many of these accounts have suspiciously reviewed this exact company multiple times. Leaving multiple 5-star reviews for the same business is a classic signature of fake, coordinated review manipulation.
To make matters worse, they appear to have completely disconnected their customer service number from the grid. When you try to call, you are met with a "number not recognised" message.
Given the massive uptick in recent complaints from people being hit with fabricated bills after their tenancies have ended, it feels entirely like a coordinated strategy to extract as much cash as possible while completely shutting off communication lines.
Lest anyone forget, BBC Watchdog ran a major investigation into The Bunch. The findings were damning, exposing systemic failures in how they handle utility bills and customer accounts.
I will continue to update this review as I take this matter to Trading Standards and the Energy Ombudsman. Avoid this service at all costs.

YOU ROCK 👌👌👌👌
Absolutely appaling
Absolutely appaling. Our wifi router was delivered to a random neighbour 3 months ago and we never received it. I have been contacting Bunch repeatedly to tell them this and ask for new one. Only once did I ever get a repsonse and I was told it was the delivery company's problem. So took up the issue with them and eventually got directed back to Bunch who have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This is fraud. I am being charged for wifi i do not have. They have not once ever replied to my emails, havent addressed my formal complaint and won't answer the phone. Do not use this company.
Aaliya was very helpful in dealing with…
Aaliya was very helpful in dealing with my query. This is the earliest response I’ve received from Bunch when I raise a ticket
Awful experience trying to leave
Awful experience trying to leave. Left tenancy on 28th August and filled in a form in advance of this. Was asked to provide evidence from landlord that we were actually leaving on that date which we did, alongside final gas reading, for the customer service to completely ignore it and request evidence again.
Completely useless and now still awaiting a response since 2nd September! Awful company avoid at all costs.
BLOOD SUCKING SCOUNDRELS
These guys are scam artists who do not want you to leave them. I had a contract with them for two years and when I switched to my new supplier in June 2025 they told me to make a final payment and they send me my final bill. They sent me my final bill and credit was deposited into my bank account. Three months down the line they come back saying I owe them. THE HELL I AM PAYING I got my final bill and got my change from you, I DONT OWE YOU
Stay well clear a very unprofessional company
0 stars if I could previous tenant was with this company asked for change of tenancy sent agreement heard nothing back, sent another email was asked to send tenancy agreement again in which I did heard nothing raised a complaint was asked to send tenancy agreement again as they have no record of this emailed it again to receive an email AGAIN to say they do not have a record of the tenancy agreement can I resend it I have no idea what energy tariff I am on as I do not have an account with them feel like I am on a merry go round so not bothering anymore legal advice has been sought Dispute resolution ombudsman will be contacted as they keep blocking my move to a more professional and better energy supplier that I have been with for many years at my previous home and I am dreading the cost of the final bill if I ever receive it from this company will try now with Tru Energy but don't hold much hope at least I can contact the energy ombudsman for this company can't with Bunch
At the start of our contract they took…
At the start of our contract they took over £100 extra out of my bank account which i then had to spend over 4 hours waiting for a phone call to be rudely told i would get my money back with no apology.
Then at the end of the year i got an email saying i would receive my outstanding credit owed within a month of the email, a month and a half later i have had no follow up despite emailing and calling multiple times.
