James was incredibly helpful and professional, after suffering from swimmers ear and having a course of antibiotics I was left with earwax and blocked ears. James explained all the processes and gave me confidence. I attended twice and following my final appointment also received a test at the end. He also gave me advice to prevent reoccurrence. Would recommend easily to others! Thanks James!

I saw James Musselwhite at his clinic at R. Woodfall optician in East Dulwich SE22 for ear wax removal and the results were astounding. I had been increasingly deaf particularly in one ear for weeks and it had become so profound I was worried it was something more serious than wax but nope! It was a large build up of wax which made it difficult for me to have conversations, hear traffic or watch the television! James was able to remove even the most stubborn of the blockages with good humour and patience and I came out feeling like the world suddenly had surround-sound! A huge relief! I’ll have my ears cleaned regularly now because I never really thought about it being part of my normal maintenance like the optician or dentist but it clearly needs to be because I let it get really bad before I took action! Glad it’s all sorted.

I've had some hearing problems and dizziness recently so I booked an appointment with the THCP, operating out of R. Woodfall Opticians in Dulwich. I met a lovely clinician called James M. who explained the hearing assessment and wax removal process in detail. He was very friendly and made the experience enjoyable (considering I am sensitive about people touching my ears). I would highly recommend the THCP and its excellent staff to anyone worried about their hearing or wax build-up.
Very friendly and professional service.
James was excellent

Never thought I would need my ears cleaning out, always could hear anything, they seem to go, all of a sudden, tried 6 bottles of other Ear drops, didn’t help.
I put off going to have them cleaned out, for about two years, because no income, and rather wary of having Microsuction, this was the wrong thing do.
My ears became uncomfortable, with a annoying noise, began to worry weather my ears would ever be alright, you can’t get Earwax Microsuction on the NHS.
I finally went to see James Musselwhite from The Hearing Care Partnership, he’s friendly and put me at ease, he was very professional, and made me feel I was not just a number, and cared about his job.
Even though I used Olive Oil ear drop, 5 days before, I found it better that other ear drops, it was still hard to remove the wax that had become imbedded for so long, James patiently and carefully carried on removing the earwax, even though it was difficult.
It left my ears feeling a bit tender, one of them has a bit of noise all the time, the other one rarely has, Tinnitus, only because I left it so long to get my ears done, everything seems so loud, but it’s nice to hear!
James tested my hearing levels, it was normal, and who knows, when my ears have recovered fully, the Tinnitus could disappear, only notice Tinnitus when lying down or room or very quiet, better than before.
It was the best money I spent.

Kailey was very friendly and professional. She talked me through the procedure and techniques of ear wax removal, explained how the tools worked, and was very gentle removing the wax. She screened my hearing and interpreted the results, which was helpful, and arranged for me to have a follow-up test.
These guys were brilliant. They just kept going until the job was done and it took four visits. They would only charge me for the one visit so I got incredible value for money. I must have been their most difficult patient ever! Thanks guys.

Update: 21Aug.
This was eventually sorted and as I was away was able to go to a branch local to my holiday home to get a replacement hearing aid. Shame it took so long but happy it is now fixed. Fingers crossed no further problems and if I do it is quickly resolved.

I got hearing aids from the East Dulwich branch last autumn, the original service I received and aftercare from Sarah were great but unfortunately since she went on maternity leave this has not been the case!
One of my hearing aids has needed to go off for repair twice. First time it wasn’t working I was messaging Sarah but I wasn’t getting a response it wasn’t until I finally got hold of someone at head office I was told she is on maternity leave. It would have been nice to have been kept informed this was happening and the name of her cover sent over prior so if I had any problems I knew who to contact straight away.
I don’t think there is a full time cover and poor Celeste (who I believe is based out of a branch in south England) is trying to manage it but not very well. I got the first repair done fairly quickly but then not long after it was faulty again, it took ages after sending Celeste emails and texts to get to speak to her, eventually it was sent off to be repaired again. However it has now been lost in the post on its return! Every time I contact Celeste it takes a couple of days to get a response (I normally have to chase her). I have now been without a working aid for almost 2 months - after spending the money I have I would expect so much better aftercare service. Unfortunately it looks as it I will probably have to return the aids & seek a full refund so I can find someone who will provide better aftercare service.
