While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

These people are crooks

These people are crooks - avoid them. They approached me telling me I'd won a prize, and I could choose from a list. I suspected it was too good to be true, but played along to see what happened. I selected a Dyson cordless vacuum, and they said all I needed to pay was £2.00 to cover admin. I paid the £2 and received email confirmation and also a a gift voucher worth 20 'credits'. The next day I had a further flurry of emails from them, and hidden in the small print was notification that I had signed up for a direct debit to be collected every 3 days! I immediately mailed them to cancel the payment, and they did acknowledge this immediately. They also said my 20 credits were still valid for 3 days if I wanted to use them. I checked what I could get for 20 credits and found they sell batteries. I ordered a set of rechargeable batteries, only to find that they charge £12 delivery - for FOUR rechargeable AAA batteries! I tried selecting other items, and found that it doesn't matter what you order, they still charge £12 delivery. Therefore, there is no saving whatsoever. Everything they sell is cheaper on Amazon because of the extortionate delivery charge. I selected batteries below £8 in value so the £12 delivery fee would be covered by the credits and hey presto, the item I selected was out of stock. So basically, they pretend to offer things at a discount but charge massively inflated delivery costs, so they aren't cheaper at all - and they sign you up to a direct debit without telling you they are doing it. Criminals!
UPDATE - I tried to order 2 other items, both below £8 in order to have the postage covered by the alleged £20 credit. Surprisingly, everything was 'out of stock' !
