Tech recruiter here with 15 years of experience. Although I've been in the industry for a while, I still learned a lot from this course. It specifically helped me learn about how tech fits together with other tech rather than understanding each skill set in isolation. The way that the course tests you as you progress really enforces the material. I enjoyed the AI coach, but the human coaches didn't add much. I wish the content was more in depth. Certain modules clearly got more attention than others. That being said, I will use this with all of the recruiters I hire in the future.

Great course, a good mix of exercises to help reinforce the learning, and an easy platform to navigate. I really liked the ability to breakdown topics into bite-size chunks and you can tackle it at your own pace.

Very responsive and comprehensive feedback that added to the knowledge gained during the course itself. I appreciated the 'choose-your-own-journey' aspect as it allowed me to focus on aspects that were important for me, and understand the connections to those topics

The Tech Map course has really helped me take my sourcing, recruiting, and stakeholder partnerships to the next level. With a sharpened understanding of the fundamentals of engineering concepts, I can engage with technical candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers with more confidence. I have a better ability to grasp the requirements/responsibilities of my technical roles, evaluate the experience/background/interests of my candidates, and coach candidates throughout the process. Sam and Ruben are awesome to work with, and they break down components of the tech stack in an un-intimidating way that's engaging and easy to understand. A lightbulb is finally on and it's clarified all aspects of my role!

This course is great - not only am I learning in different, interactive ways (such as articles, videos, questions etc.), but I am able to receive feedback from TechMap leaders on each question I answer. I am also able to read responses from other people taking the course all around the world - which is so cool! I would definitely say I walked away with a better understanding of the tech space and tech terms. The course does a fantastic job of giving examples in laymen's terms that the average person would understand in order to relate it to the tech space.

TechMap is an excellent course for Tech Recruiters. It takes an individual through complex tech concepts and simplifies them using various learning methodologies.

Sam and Ruben facilitate an excellent interactive session at the end of the week, they challenge you to map these concepts out on Miro. It was always lovely to see the connection between various layers of applications and how they interact.

This course gives a recruiter an added advantage when talking with technical hiring managers.

A great course for recruiters whether you're just starting out or if you're several years in. The course provides foundational material for understanding how software works/is built, common programming languages, and archetypal roles in software engineering. It doesn't provide everything, as it's now up to you, your company, and engineers to fill in the gaps, but it does give you a framework to talk about these topics.

I found the TechMap course to be incredibly useful, easy to follow and beneficial!
The mixture of learning styles was helpful and the technical content started from the very beginning which I personally benefitted from!

I think the module style and the ability to have 1 on 1 discussions with the trainers to review and ask questions is a particularly helpful way to learn and ensure I was on the right track.
The continued access to the content is also fantastic to jump back and refresh my knowledge or complete a different module when needed.

This is a very useful course for any tech Recruiter. It gives you the full overview of the tech world and how all concepts are connected. The learning materials and workshops are super useful as well.

I took this course because I needed an overall view of the main tech concepts and it turned out to be very useful. The course gives you a broad and comprehensive view of technology to build a strong tech foundation. Besides, the content is presented in an innovative, clear and easy-to-follow way. I had a lot of fun and a very great learning experience with Techmap and learning with my peers from Generation. The design helps me make a good connection. There are a lot of exercises that we can do by ourselves, and there are exercises in class where we get to review, and practice the concepts learned while also sharing our ideas with our teammates. Sam and Ruben have been very helpful in facilitating and supporting all the learners. I joined not knowing a lot about tech and sales but completed the course with more confidence and more motivation to continue learning.

This course was a great introduction to technical concepts, technical roles and also sales techniques! I'll definitely be revisiting the materials when in doubt and reinforcing the concepts. Thank you!

Just finished the Techmap course - a huge thanks to Ruben and Sam for creating such a fun way to understand the tech world. Highly recommended for anyone just starting in tech or for people like me who’ve been here for a while and would like to have more clarity.

Two complementary trainers lead you: one who's a code whiz and another who's very business-minded - both are great pedagogues. The result? An ultra grounded training that can help you improve your IT literacy and ability to engage with a wide range of engineer professionals without feeling like you're guessing.

The curriculum is also not dry, linear, and solitary. With some traditional training, you may find yourself in a very lonely echo chamber studying with ... yourself. Here, the program weaves in social components that emulate in-person workshop/class dynamics that help you retain information + see different perspectives - super enriching and stimulating.

This course was a great way to learn the basics of programming to better serve me as a technical recruiter.
