The powermeter from Team Zwatt works…
The powermeter from Team Zwatt works perfect. The only little issue was to fit the bottom bracket on the bike. I've not seen any power sikes or dropout so far (~2 month of usage).

Great Products at affordable prices. Highly recommend Team Zwatt not just as a Startup doing Crowdfunding stuff but also in terms of service, responsiveness and product development of existing products. Seems like there are some very smart people working at Team Zwatt who know what it needs to make customer happy and the company successful.
I had a great experience with my Yding power meter. I pre-ordered the crankset in March while it was still being developed. Zwatt was great, providing timely communication while they finished development of the product, and also even when there were some delays in distribution.
I received my power meter in August, and it works great. The spindle-based power meter is much more accurate than the previous single-sided unit I had, and the battery capacity is fantastic. I definitely recommend it.
Works as advertised, no fuss what so ever. Using it with an oval 36T
Got my Zimanox in January 2018 after backing their Indiegogo campaign.
Like others have reported the plastic lid/cover cracked near one of the screws on my Zimanox. Team Zwatt repaired and checked calibration speedily for a reasonable fee (as per the terms and conditions of the crowdfunding campaigns). If you buy now from the Team Zwatt shop their products are covered by a warranty.
Their support team have been brilliant, answering questions quickly and keeping me updated when needed.
Other than needing a new lid the power meter has performed flawlessly, rarely needs charging which is simple to do with the magnetic charger via usb cable. The supporting Andriod app I use with it gets better by the month, it works perfectly with my Garmin 810 and Zwift.
They also send a great weekly newsletter and organise social group rides on Zwift.
Zimanox works just fine. No issues at all.
After sales is brilliant, always friendly and a quick reply.
The Zpider is a great power meter. Super friendly support helped me figure out what parts to buy and how to check for fit. Didn't support them back when they did Kickstarter in 2016 as I wanted a more mature product. Great decision - even at a the higher price I paid, it's still super competitive.
Had two issues with Zpider, both resolved with Zwatt but I'm now on my third unit. Performance of meter is variable, especially connection with phone and devices. Turn around of servicing meter is not quick (especially given that unit was replaced and had contacted Zwatt in advance to arrange. Replacement is only guaranteed for one month, which I find a bit shocking.
State of the art powermeter. A bit slow Customer service.
Seems quite stable in measurement. The crankset is a bit narrow for 10 speed. Now and then falls to zero watts. Very attractive price for a spider crank power meter.
Excellent power meter. Great with two-sided measurement and pedalling efficiency measurement. Always connects immediately with my Wahoo Elemnt Blot after a spin or two. Great battery life - I ride 10 hours a week and only charge the built-in battery occasionally, maybe once a month.
Team Zwatt pulled together a fine product for a very reasonable price. Mine is working fine. During the delivery I was supported extensively when selectiing the right accessories for my Zpider.
Happy with my Zpider. At first I didn't know how to install it but customer service helped me out and then it was easy. It's nice to ride with a power meter and cool that they keep putting out new updates.
It's was wrong decision to support a company like team Zwatt.
A few week into training with my 2 Zimanox power meters, I discover cracks in the cover from both power meters.
As I notify Team Zwatt, I receive the feedback it can be repaired but I'll need to pay for the recalibration and also for the resending of their product.
This will cost me 27 euro for the replacement/recalbiration and 18 euro shipping free (Danmark - Belgium). Probably 2 times and without the cost of sending it to them.
Conclusion their production error will cost me 70 euro each --> 140 euro total for their production error.
This is unacceptable.
So I took a risk to buy a powermeter (Zpider) from Team Zwatt and unfortunate it did not work out for me. The first Zpider I got crashed after I cleaned my bike. Apparently it wasn't tested properly and it was not waterproof...
So I had to send it back and after a quick test they decided to send me a new Zpider which was, according to them, fully tested. After a few rides I was very frustrated again. The watts which where displayed where way too high and very unreliable. After calibrating multiple times it only became worse. So I contacted Team Zwatt again and after they analyzed my data they agreed something was wrong with my Zpider. I have to send it back so they can repair it, but I have to pay for the shipping costs! I let them know that I had lost my confidence in their product and I would rather receive my money back, but apparently that is not an option.
My advice, avoid Team Zwatt because they have unreliable products and you don't have a warranty!
Team Zwatt sent me a powermeter that did not have enough thread on it to attach safely to my crankset. As it was a kickstarter project they refused to replace or refund my money. Avoid.
I was an early adopter to this project, and backed them for two crank arm power meters late last summer, hoping to get them early in the new year.
The delivery time slipped, slipped and slipped again. But I must admit I found their communication to backers to be good, and the reasons for the delays plausible. So I resisted the temptation to buy a different power meter and stuck with them.
Just as I was starting to think I'd never get them, and the risk associated with backing a start-up wasn't going to pay off, my two Zimanox power meters arrived within a few weeks of one-another, and I'm very happy with them.
They've since replaced a Dura-Ace and Ultegra crank arm, and they don't look/feel cheap or out of place on even my high spec road bike build. The data from them is good, and reliable, and I have no complaints at all.
Yes, it took a while, yes the app has a bug or two, and yes I hear some mixed reviews for their more complex venture (the full crank power-meter), but I'm generally very happy with the final product.
I'm now training and riding with power data (albeit a year later than I originally wanted to) and I'm glad that I backed them.
If you are lucky the zpider will work in 15 minutes of your first ride before the numbers gets to low or to high. Then you have to return it. When you get it back the same happens. It's the third time now, and they won't give me my money back. The poorest company I've ever traded with!!!!!
Sad story, cause the project sounds really promising. And now you can by a FSA powerbox for the same price.
And there customer service sucks big time!
I'm done using the zpider!!!!!
Anyone wanna buy a zpider that doesn't work??? Naaah not really
