Custom lead times are 2 weeks Measure the Width and Length of your shower area and enter them in the chart above. We recommend reducing the length and width by 1/4" to allow for any variance. This will also make it easier to remove your mat for necessary maintenance. If your shower area is not rectangular, view the measuring information or request a template kit. Length = The length of the boards (battens) that we be used to fill the width of the shower. Use decimals when entering dimensions. Ex. 1/4" = .25, 1/2" = .5, 3/4"= .75. Standard height is 1.5" To see additional custom projects, visit our Customer Photo Gallery. FAQ What’s the difference between a stock mat and a custom mat? Stock mats are built to pre-selected sizes that have been most requested by our customers. Stock mats are great for poolside or bathroom drying-off areas and make a great, bacteria resistant alternative to traditional cloth bath mats. Custom mats are for customers who want a mat built specifically to fit the inside of their shower, or any other space where they desire the comfort, warmth and beauty of teak. Custom mats can also be built any size and can conform to odd shapes and curves. What is an interlocking mat? Many of our customers have large spaces they wish to fill with one of our beautiful custom teak mats. In order to make it easier to install, remove for maintenance, as well as reduce shipping costs, we build these as interlocking mats. Basically it's two or more pieces built to lock together like puzzle pieces on the underside of the mat. After installation the mat looks like it's one full mat. Please contact us if you are interested in having your mat be an interlocking piece. How long will it take to get my teak product? Our Custom Products are currently about 2 - 4 weeks out. If we can get it built and shipped sooner we will. On the day your products ships you will receive an email with tracking information. How do I maintain my in-shower teak mat? Each time you would clean your shower/bath, lift your teak mat up, if it appears to need a cleaning, clean it. Once your mat starts to look “shabby” clean it well, let it dry, and re-apply teak oil (TO-8). When applying teak oil, wipe it off as soon as you have finished oiling it. Do not let the teak oil sit; it will leave a waxy finish. After using this page, order from our commercial burmese teak bench to complement your purchase. Our Teak Our FSC certified Plantation Teak comes from trees harvested from a plantation of Teak trees. We only use the heartwood of the tree, it has all the same qualities of Burmese Teak but it is a little lighter in color. Teakworks4u hand crafts its products from teak that is harvested under strict social, economic and environmental standards.
