RUN....RUN....RUN AWAY.....

RUN....RUN....RUN AWAY...... I was a 2018 Corps member from Teach for America....specifically the (Memphis,TN) region is the only location that I am speaking towards. Its been 5 years...I don't have my teaching license yet. I do not know how they are accredited. I graduated from Teach for America in 2020 when everything was closed due to the pandemic. My licensure and training experience was effected by the pandemic and therefore I had to teach virtually with no training. The state of TN also changed its licensure process in the middle of my program in 2019. Teach for America was not prepared for the changes nor did they train for new licensure changes.

There were no resources on the edTPA at Barnes and Nobles because or local book stores because the test (new license requirement) was so new. I took the new licensure requirement test and failed given lack of support. Long story short, Teach for America (Memphis) ghosted 200 teachers. Most of them quit after they hoffible experience. The state of TN offered a form that would allow a exemption/acception for teachers who graduated in 2020 due to the pandemic. The state said all your teacher program has to do is sign off on it. Guess what, Teach for America (Memphis,TN) refused to sign off on the form. Conclusion, a 2 year contract took 4 years and I still have no license and can not teach even though I completed ALL the requirements that was asked of me.

Please...DO NOT TEACH....DO NOT TEACH FOR TEACH FOR AMERICA (Memphis,TN) region. They reel you in because the cost of living in Memphis is cheap...."Everything that glistens is not gold"...... RUN!!! Its a reason they offer tuition assistance....its a reason they offer to help you pay for your praxis.....RUN! I have not heard from Teach for America since 2020 concerning anything serious about rectifying this situation or refunding me for the 3 months rent and utilities I had to put up because they did not pay for initial summer training or professional school clothing, hair weave, abuse from being placed at the (Lord forgive me) shittest schools . "Give back to the hood," they said...."POW POW POW Gun shots in my neighborhood as a single teacher"...."You are ministering," they said....as my Memphis apartment is getting broken into" This is how I am living in Memphis as a "Superheo Teacher" during the pandemic due to inflation and post pandemic.... PPL talking about "I don't know if teachers shouId be paid" What is their evaluation score?" I guess
PPL, Teach for America, the principals, and human resources .. gone baby sit Americas kids....RUN..RUN...RUN.
