This is specifically about the TD on 1480 Richmond road ottawa ontario . I’ve been banking with TD since 2004 i went in to cash a check and the teller looked at me like I was a criminal his manager said it was his discretion to cash it and he refused totally disgusting on his part and he was very racist had this been someone with blond hair and blue eyes things would have been different . Loyalty means nothing to these people . I was completely mind blown i’ve never had a problem cashing a cheque before !

There dispute department is so…

There dispute department is so disgusting.first of all they disconnected your call within seconds and then if they listen you and they keep you for hold for hours.Banking experience is also worst they always keep my salary cheques on hold for 5 days though I am getting paid from last 2.5 years.Worst bank
I will never recommend this to my enemies also.

I decided to open up an account online…

I decided to open up an account online with TD Canada Trust their system asked me to verify myself with my other bank through my app which I did everything was good they said your card is being sent in the mail next thing I know I'm locked out of my account I give them a call they say they can tell me anything over the phone to go in and show ID to prove my identity I do that sat in the bank for almost 1 hour had my driver's license had a credit card they made me sit there waiting waiting looking like an idiot to come tell me they needed a second photo ID when I already identified myself nothing but a big crock TD Canada Trust horrible Place horrible bank I hope they read this treating people like they are garbage I understand there's a lot of fraud in the world I verified myself two different ways and you just kept making me wait there make me look like a fool in front of all your other clients I'm not impressed Oliver Branch thank you so much for a big nothing for a big waste of time

I would suggest looking elsewhere for small business banking

We have been loyal TD customers personally for over 20 years and professionally since our establishment opened in 2020 and have consistently used TD’s services to manage our financial operations.
However, recent obstacles we’ve faced are making it increasingly difficult to run our business efficiently and are causing us to reconsider our banking relationship with TD.

Despite our consistent and substantial use of our TD Business Visa, we have not been offered an automatic credit limit increase. We are forced to pay the balance constantly in order to continue using the card, which defeats the purpose of a credit product. Even worse, we’ve been charged over-limit fees when invoice amounts exceed our limit — this is both unreasonable and unjustified given how much we spend and repay on this account.
The fact that we must reapply completely for a credit increase, rather than having the option to request a review or soft increase based on our strong payment history, is inefficient and discouraging. Our business deserves a credit facility that grows with us, not one that restricts us.

Today, I called to request an increase to our TD chequing account e-transfer limit so that we could meet payroll obligations for our employees. I was advised that we do not "qualify" for an increase and were encouraged to use our existing limit more. I fail to see the logic in being denied access to transfer our own funds — this is not credit, it is our money.
We requested a modest $5,000 increase to meet our regular payroll dates on the 1st and 15th of the month. Denying this access has created unnecessary barriers to paying our staff, which is unacceptable for any business, let alone one that has remained loyal and consistent in its banking relationship with TD.

As a small business owner, the lack of flexibility and support from TD has become a serious concern. The continuous roadblocks to accessing either credit or our own funds are creating operational challenges that we should not have to face.

TD is a Crooked Bank. They are so Crooked that they were fined over $3 Billion by the US Government. Just Google it. Do not do your banking with them

Amazing experience today

I had an unexpected situation with NSF fees on my account and reached out to TD customer service for help.

I was pleasantly surprised by how understanding and empathetic the agent was.

She took the time to listen to my concerns (I was panicking, I admit) and, after a very quick discussion, waived the fees as a one-time courtesy!

I truly appreciate her willingness to help me and resolve the issue promptly.

This kind of customer service is rare, and am extremely grateful for their support.

It is not often that companies go out of their way to help you when you’re doing your best to stay on track.

Thank you, TD, for making a stressful situation much easier to handle.

I remain a loyal customer because of this experience

Excellent experience

I am sure that people have complaints about the bank, but in our family's experience over 15 years of banking and investing through TD, the experience has been literally flawless. And as a business owner, I can also state that this area of their business has provided excellent service as well. You can't ask much more than that from a bank.

TD Estates just dreadful

TD Estates. Wow. Wish I could give zero out of 5. I am a directly named beneficiary of my cousins estate, who passed away last year. TD are using every delay tactic under the sun, including lying about not receiving some documents in a mailbag, but not others.
Have also lied about trying to contact me via email and phone, saying they couldn't reach me. It's clear that TD Estates do not want to part with this money. If you want your loved ones to inherit your estate then give TD Estates a wide berth. I'm beginning to think they are corrupt at this stage.

My son has a credit card at the Primrose Dr location I have been paying $100 a month on it for the last 8 months went in last night with my usual $100 cash , they told me no longer take cash at TD for payments on credit card , money could be LAUNDERED , W T F

Wonderful!!NOT

Wonderful!!! NOT. So Canada Trust Screws up by laundering money and guess who gets to pay the price??? Well its there long time customers like myself. Now EVERY TIME i try to check my account, I have to have a 6-digit verification code sent to me so I can log on!!! This happens in spite of using my SAME TRUSTED computer and even it I check every 5 minutes. I have other sites that "occasionally" ask to send a verification code but EVERY TIME??? Maybe I really ought to rethink MY trust (or lack thereof) In TD Canada Trust!!!

I wish I could give this a zero

I wish I could give this a zero. I have been waiting for over a month for a follow up with TD. They then send me a letter saying they tried to contact me and they didn't. They then called saying it will be another 2 weeks before I get a response. I have now lost it. Once I get my fiances moved to another bank I'll be shutting everything down for TD. Worst experience and customer care is shit

Poor customer service

I tried that activated brand new credit card over the phone and that was a disaster. The customer service reps on the phone were removed confrontational and hung up on me when I expressed my displeasure. Why is it so hard to activate a credit card with TD. The bank teller I picked up the card from told me to call the number and activate the card then the people on the phone told me that I had to go into a branch to activate my card. Which one is it. Lazy, lazy, incompetent customer service. I'm supposed to renew my mortgage with TD this year but I don't think I'm going to after this experience

Took 8 weeks to get my business visa…

Took 8 weeks to get my business visa card after multiple visits to the branches and numerous phone calls with no follow ups. It has been 5 weeks since I applied for a supplemental card with no response to my request for an update. I put a formal complaint to customer care-no response, I had to escalate the case to the senior customer department. Just talked to him, he was rude. He didn't seem to care too much. I might have to bring my case to 3rd party business bureau.

Personal experience with a racist…

Personal experience with a racist assistant manager, ebay messed up, i paid it then 24 hrs later it withdrew funds 2x, over drawn fee x2, show up with all paper work and receipts, time stamps etc.

Senior sikh fellow in front of me has the same issue, they solve it he shakes their hands he leaves smiling.

I explain my situation to her and she refuses, i said you just did it for that guy.

she waddles off, out comes manager to drag me in her office and lied to my face, i called bs, she asked colleagues, came back and said its a one time thing for that other customer only.

she threatened to call police, i said do it as I want a police report of this, she signalled her security and he tried to put hands on me, i was not violent and made no threats, i told him not to touch me.

this is what to expect from TD Canada and this location.

Having a horrible experience opening a…

Having a horrible experience opening a business account at TD. It’s been 6 weeks and my partner still is not in the account nor has received his access card!
Whoever heard of opening a business account over the phone yet they will open personal accounts in branch???!!
I’ve been a TD business and personal customer for over 25 years. If I knew of how difficult they’ve made it to just open up an account I would have gone elsewhere from the start without a second thought!

I am in 45 overlea Td branch. I am Td customer last 25 years. This branch 40
peoples waiting and only 1 cashier is dealing. Manager pass by and he doesn't care. This manager responsibility to customer get what they deserve. I think this that's why this branch get very bad ratings.

Terrible lines at Hillcrest

Hillcrest has the slowest lines. Use to be very quick but now avoid at all costs! Minimum 20 mins to be seen. No sense of urgency. I live very close and drive to another branch just because of this.

I was victim of fraud

I was victim of fraud. Someone used my TD card and send money to India through Rmitbee from my every day saving account. I called the bank and disputed those transactions. They bank reimbursed the amount within two hours. Very helpful.
