While creating an individual account…

While creating an individual account online, I was unable to submit my application. Clicking submit would not redirect the page. I tried backing out and using the login I had created, but nothing happened. Long story short, I tried this a couple times before trying again the next day (it worked the next day). However, I had three other vacant accounts created as a result of me not being redirected and trying multiple times. Anyway, I called today for assistance. Despite the wait of over an hour, I spoke with a young man names Aaron Wong. He was extremely personable and helpful. I could not find where to leave him an individual review so I decided to do so here. To stress the point, he consistently went out of his way to inform me of certain things I should be aware of without me asking. He went above and beyond to offer me assistance. I left the conversation much more knowledge than before, and a new sense of comfortability using TD Ameritrade. This man deserves some recognition! I didn't go out of my way to do this for no reason; Aaron Wong was extremely helpful and easy to talk to.

They should be on that meeting with…

They should be on that meeting with Robinhood. They allow to buy GME,however restrict selling of covered calls. So they disabled hedging. How is it possible? It is illegal and discriminatory! They are playing on Wallstreet side and should be punished for this
I will definitely report them!

If I could give them 0 stars I would

If I could give them 0 stars I would. If you don't login in time for them they will "deactivate" your account and will say your login failed even when TD ameritrade saves your password. I can't even login to my own account with the correct login. I don't know how that works but TD ameritrade doesn't care. Next it will not let you withdraw the amount of money you want because of a fee. I entered the amount of money I wanted to withdraw minus the $25 fee I know they have and it was saying I didn't have enough funds. I am an accountant and have always been good at math and even had a calculator subtract 25 from my deposit amount and TD ameritrade still says I don't have enough money. They take forever to get back to you when you approach them with a problem/question. This is hands down the worst experience I have had to deal with and I hope my donation to them helps because I am not seeing my money again.

Terrible customer service: they've got my money & I cannot get any action about it.

I sent a paper check deposit to my account. TDAmeritrade did show receipt of the check, but as of today (ten days after they received it) the money has not shown up in my balance... only as a "transaction" which has not actually credited my account. The money is long-gone from my bank checking account but is not in my Ameritrade account. After waiting several days, I tried calling but the wait was forever, so I finally gave up, and sent a message via their "client services" messaging. No reply. So a couple of days later I messaged again, and (after waiting another 2 days) got a reply saying there's a 4-day wait for funds to clear - which is only partly true but in this case it was already more than four days. Still, I waited longer... and still no money in my account. Each time I try to call I sit on hold forever and don't get through. Summarizing: my deposit is gone. They've got it, I don't, and I cannot get them to do anything about it, or even pay attention to me when I try to straighten it out.

This weekend TD Ashi*atrade had a glitch where it doubled certain orders on 2/12/21, this resulted in many people that don't have 25k breaking the PDT rule including me. After waiting on the phone for over two hours they happily told me that it was on my end. I asked about the glitch and the customer service guy acted like it didn't happen and that thousands of people are on hold as we spoke because of the same problem. Thanks to this being about the 6th time iv had to contact them with problems and they always say it on my end I will be slowly closing all my position/account with them. This is hands down the worst broker I have ever used they constantly lag and fill orders late. They freeze the market almost twice every week at open then say it's too much data usage causing a bottleneck. I really would not suggest this broker to my anyone. If you have seen the old Dave Chappelle skit on how to treat customers, that is their customer service. I highly recommend webull to use if you choose a free broker! This is my unbiased opinion after almost a year of using them!! RATING -✰✰✰✰✰ (negative five stars)

I've had an account with TD Ameritrade…

I've had an account with TD Ameritrade for several years now and have always had great customer service, until recently, when I put money in and bought some stocks. Granted it wasn't a lot, but it was something I was planning to continue buying over time. Consequently, I put more money in my account and tried to purchase more of the stock. I tried several times over a weeks time to purchase additional stock with my settled funds and they canceled my order every time (over 12 times in fact). As a result, I have tried to withdraw the settled funds from my account, several times and they will not transfer my funds so I could buy the stock somewhere else. I still haven't received my money. Additionally, I've sent them an email and received no response, nor have they communicated with me regarding this matter. Folks, I must warn you, this isn't normal for TD Ameritrade and I fear something is wrong as they also don't show a record of a purchase I made, which I captured screen shots of as evidence. Please be very careful putting any large sums of money in TD Ameritrade, as they are in a position to tie your funds up while your stocks climb higher without you.

I've never used to have any problems…

I've never used to have any problems with TD customer services until recently. I've always gave them a 5 stars rating. Now they are the WORSE customer services. You can never get a hold of them or they would have you hold for at lease 50 minutes. I can't even place my sell order it got rejected many times. I'm going to switch my account over to a different brokerage next week. This is HORRIBLE!

very poor customers service

very poor customers service. TD Ameritrade website says will give bonus for both new customers and referee. It's a lie, they didn't give bonus to us. Even I contacted customer service, they even made another lie again. Saying they would give back the 50$ bonus to me. Had me waited even longer time. Still no bonus come as they promised. The customer rep Phillip Pogue is even has very bad attitude to customers, putting TD's fault to customers. This is my first impression to TD. No credit and lying. I spent so much time talking to the customer service. Problems are still not solved. If you haven't opened TD Ameritrade account, please DO NOT OPEN, don't waste time like me. I am going to close the account.

On the phone now posting this review waiting for another 15 min to go. The problem is TD Ameritrade says “check your account for the test deposits”. However TD Ameritrade appears to have put them in some other wrong account that doesn’t exist. Wishing we had used Fidelity or someone who doesn’t give their customers these kinds of stacked problems. It seems the new ownership cut costs with this new reduced respect for the customer.

Terrible customer service wait times

Terrible customer service wait times. Always over an hour wait no matter what time you call. Their self service portals are no help either so you need to call their customer service lines. Dont believe the BS reviews that TD pays to have 5 stars.
When in doubt call their customer service # prior to opening an account and you can see for yourself.

TD Ameritrade not working!

This is the second time in a week that I am not allowed to log into my account. Phone wait time is 1 hr and 30 mins before someone can help you. If you trade this will make you lose a lot of money. This is not acceptable for a company like this. Hire someone to answer the phone! Make sure your clients can log into their accounts this is pretty basic stuff in a high tech world. UPDATE: looks like this has been resolved.

Retail investors avoid! They are only concerned with maintaining the

If you are looking for a broker DO NOT USE TDA (or Schwab, their parent company)

I had a call expiring the 29th which was ITM(at a ~$500 loss), but I didn't have the cash in the account to cover the call. I let it expire like always, but this time they decided not to close it out at a loss like they always have in the past when I didn't have cash available. This sent me into a margin call. I was not on margin before the call and had enough to cover roughly 2/3'rds of the call. I'm sure you can guess which stock this refers to, TD (Schwab) is colluding with the shorts to **** over retail investors and treat them a lesson. On friday they prevented the buying of new options for retail investors as a way to help prevent the spike in stock and hedge fund losses.

I have a $250k acct and have not had one problem with them prior to this. I am attempting to deposit what I can and resolve this by selling other positions. I will be holding said stock even at the very high average. Fk TDA, Fk schwab, DO NOT USE THIS BROKER.

I'm looking at options and will be switching brokers asap.
