Dishonest marketing
Dishonest marketing. When you look at the "Pricing" part of their website, it says Personal Tax Return from 35, but once you've gone through the whole ordeal of entering all of the information, it asks you for 99. No explanation of why the price suddenly tripled (almost). My taxes are very simple as I am retired. The software is good, but the con to allow you to enter all of your information before giving you the real price is dishonest.

To give a bit of context: our £35 tier is specifically for simpler returns (Only PAYE or pension income, or self-employment under £12,570), and we offer it to make tax filing more accessible to as many people as possible.
For returns outside those categories, the price is £99, and we do show this as soon as you create an account, before any information is entered. The software is also completely free to explore right up until submission, so nothing would have been charged during your time with us.
We hear your feedback on transparency though, and it's something we take seriously. We're always looking at ways to make our pricing clearer from the very first page.

Tax return with NICs
I submitted my tax assessment tax return through tax’d. Everything seemed to be great until HMRC credited back my NICs. I was told by tax’d that I had to do it that way but it didn’t work.

Hi Jose, thank you for your review. When living overseas, making voluntary NIC contributions through Self Assessment is unfortunately no longer applicable under current HMRC rules, we appreciate your feedback and are using it to improve our guidance for customers in this situation.

Inclusive advice on submitting the annual report
It was a relief to find something that guided us readly.
The advice was generally helpful in a pro-active sense.

Great experience
Great experience! Was nervous about trying the software but it was very easy to use. Best experience I have had submitting my annual uk self assessment return (I am overseas). I contacted the support team twice for tax specific queries and both times they replied quickly, clearly and supportively. Best experience and will use again this year.
