Returning Customer
I'm a returning customer. I've tried all of the curry varieties now and all are SUPERB. I like to have several in my freezer for when I fancy a curry.
Far better than any takeaway curry. Fresh, wholesome and delicious ingredients & healthy too.
I've actually had the Goan fish curry tonight. Made it with fresh haddock. Wonderful.

Took out a subscription had 2 orders…
Took out a subscription had 2 orders they both went off within a few days. Its possible they could have been off before they arrived as never checked. Called up and was told we stored them wrong these was bad in 2 days. And was offered 10% of next order yet over £40 of ingredients went bad either in transit or within 2 days of them arriving twice. RE REPLY going off so quick my argument is how do you know they did not go off in transit? My advice to anyone is order one and use it straight away if it arrives in edible condition. Order more and you are taking a risk

Hi Colin, the orders you are referring to were made in April and May 2023 and you only brought this to our attention in October. During our telephone conversation regarding this you also stated that you had not stored the kits correctly, storing them in the cupboard rather than the fridge. As explained our kits are made fresh on the day of dispatch and are quality checked so I am sure that the ingredients you were sent were fit for purpose. As the kits are made with fresh ingredients they do need to be stored in the fridge or freeze in order to stay fresh. This information in also on the back of the packaging. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with our offer of 10% off your next order as I'm sure you if stored correctly you would enjoy the meals and I hope you will consider giving them another try in the future. Great kits shambolic marketingFirstly I knocked a point for the…
Firstly I knocked a point for the confusing and frankly over the top marketing on the likes of FB, what price and what deal you will get depends on date, time and advert you click on, sometimes different deals on the same day - honestly that almost put me off buying in the first place.
I have only made two of the kits so far, prep time and cooking times are a bit longer than I expected and will limit how often I make these, the recipe is easy enough to follow but in one kit items were not marked so had to work out by process of elimination.
I have to admit the finished item had sensations and flavours I have not experienced in shop bought curries especially the Korma, I was sceptical of this little packet feeding 3 but again surprised and I could easily have got 4 portions. You do need a fair few items, that for me anyway was not readily at hand but not a huge added expense.
I can see me buying these regularly and keep in the freezer, however I will be watching the adverts and pick a time with the best discount.

Berbere curry
Only tried one so far Berbere curry. Easy to follow instructions, everything in the pack good quality. Liked the explanation regarding Chilli and how to adjust to taste. The curry was delicious I made the day before to give the spices time to blend. Looking forward to making another one next weekend.

Not authentic
Not authentic, nothing like Indian takeaway, disappointed with all 3 of my choices, packaging looks good but in my opinion style over substance sorry...
Happy to give feedback absolutely love Indian food, followed the recipes, not enough depth of flavour in any of them put all the chillies in madras but not enough sauce and wrong consistency, Dall I found a bit bland, pilau rice I found a bit to oily perhaps I didn't cook it right, appreciate it's very difficult to run a business, wouldn't normally comment on things but you asked for opinion, hope feedback helps.

However, the recent few tote bag offer was a nightmare.
I was unable to enter the code; it kept saying it was an invalid code. Eventually, it accepted the code, but I never got the bag.

Order not delivered
Ordered on 19th Aug, dispatch email on 22nd, now the 31st and still not received. Not sure what Royal Mail service they're sent on but the 'tracking info' just says delivery not yet attempted!
UPDATE: Tastesmiths resent the order which was great, however when it arrived all the fresh ingredients were visually bad or the bags had expanded indicating they were off. Since we didn't know when it was being delivered it was outside for under a day as we were out. I contacted Tastesmiths again whose offer was a 10% discount off another order. Rethink of the packaging and/or delivery definitely needed for this company.

Hi Paul, We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service you had received. Once we were made aware that your kits had not arrived we sent out a replacement order as soon as possible. The replacement order was delivered in good time, however as you have explained it was left outside on a very hot day. As the ingredients are fresh they would not last well in heat. We are also sorry to hear you was not happy with 10% discount code offered, we hope that you will consider giving us another try as we believe you would love the kits!
Great value, fantastic taste
Great tasting, easy to cook food kits and such a change to find something aimed at 2/3 people! We also don't always want loads of heat so the ability to choose how hot to make it is invaluable. The Timatar Masala is a new go to! Delicious.
