Refined Cantonese Dining in an Intimate Setting...
This is a relatively small restaurant with only around a dozen tables, and the atmosphere feels more refined than your typical suburban Chinese restaurant. There are flowers on the tables and even the owner's own paintings decorating the walls, giving the room a personal and polished feel.
Prices are higher than what you might normally expect from a Chinese restaurant, but the quality of the cooking makes it understandable. The menu focuses on proper Cantonese dishes alongside a few Hakka specialties, with live seafood and a roast goose that is timed to arrive fresh from the oven rather than sitting around.
Seafood is definitely a highlight, and I liked that the seasoning was fairly restrained. Nothing left you feeling overly salty or thirsty afterward. The owner is also actively involved on the floor, and that attention shows in how smoothly the restaurant operates.
With so few tables available, booking ahead is definitely recommended.
