Lawn Work w/Jose R.

The individual we chose, Jose R., was excellent! He is a good, hard worker who makes very good use of the time. He has great attention to detail and is willing to do anything asked. Jose is very personable, easy to get along with, and fair.

Prompt and professional

Ricardo was prompt and actually showed up early. I had anther tasker set up to do the job and they cancelled on the morning of so, I had to find someone else right away. Ricardo was professional and helped me with my moving. I will use him again for other projects.

First Taskrabbit Experience

This was my first time trying Taskrabbit. My first tasker accepted a Sunday job the Monday before, then spent the weekend trying to get me to change, only to not show up, leaving me in the lurch. Luckily, I was able to cancel (with help from Support) and find a new tasker who did a wonderful job.

Tasker A+
Showed up on time (early) and got right to work. My chore did not end up being able to be completed to my fault (not tasker) so we made a plan that when I am able to reschedule, I will jump on the App and do so. He was very knowledgeable and ready for the assignment.

Bait-and-switch on hourly minimum

The tasker I first chose didn’t text me within an hour, so I texted him. He never responded, but then cancelled on me. Taskrabbit then sent *me* a text saying sorry *I* had to cancel. A different tasker was suggested, whom I accepted. As he and I were texting, he told me that *even though his info on TaskRabbit said “1 hour minimum”, he would need 1.5 hour minimum…to move 10 boxes from my house into my garage.* I was desperate, so agreed. The tasker was friendly and did fine work, and it took 20 minutes.
Why are taskers allowed to put “1 hour minimum” on their profile, then increase the minimum when talking to the client? I definitely felt taken advantage of.

Would not recommend this Tasker for electrical work

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The Tasker arrived over an hour late and appeared to rely on YouTube instructions to complete what should have been a routine fan installation. The job took more than three hours, far longer than expected. Throughout the appointment, he was flirtatious and unprofessional, which made me uncomfortable. At the end, he also asked to be paid outside of the TaskRabbit app, which was inappropriate. While the fan was ultimately installed, the overall experience lacked professionalism, efficiency, and expertise. I would not hire this Tasker again or recommend him to others.
