I would not recommend working here as…

I would not recommend working here as they are full of false promising they never keep. Give guarantees they break and constantly lie.
Targets are unachievable and overworked for the money they pay.
As for the HTB Target don't deserve this lash below though as Lenvi (Equiniti who's contact centre is in cardiff) have taken over the Homes England portfolio where said they would be ready to take over the book 19/06/2023 to be able to handle customer calls queries etc.
Please don't take it out on the execs as they had no choice to move from Target to the now Lenvi and have been mistreated in the move it is not their fault for the incompetence of their employers

Help to Buy is now managed by another…

Help to Buy is now managed by another company, this is true. But I've been having serious issues dating all the way back to early April this year. Losing documents, incompetence, not replying. I have had a nightmare dealing with this company over the last 4 years.

It seems Target left everything in an absolute state, and the new management of Help to Buy is left picking up their mess.

This company is an absolute joke

This company is an absolute joke. My daughter has spent hours on the phone only to be cut off. This company has caused my daughter a lot of stress which has impacted on her health. They should be shamed and named for their incompetence.
Local newspaper will be notified and local MP of their shocking behaviour.

Systemic issues causing thousands of customers distress

It is evident that there are systemic issues since Lenvi has taken over from Target HCA administering HTB loans. Thousands of customers are impacted during a cost of living crisis - we just want a solution asap!

Been waiting to hear from Target/Lenvi since 9th May, cannot get through after countless of hours on the phone and no response to emails.

I had doubts, and long waits, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought

I had a lot of doubts when reading all of the bad reviews, and I completely get it. Target are very hard to get hold of, particularly as this was the only thing left to sort in our house move and had to push the completion date back because of this. Both ourselves and our solicitor were jointly on hold for about 8 hours over the past couple of days. Our solicitor told us to try and call between 6-8pm as they are quieter then. I called on two separate occasions at 6pm, was on hold for an hour and eventually got through to someone helpful. The first time I got through, I spoke to someone called Cameron and he assured me that he would complete the relevant documents personally and have them ready for the next day. They weren’t ready for the next day…so I called again a couple of days later, still on hold for an hour but spoke to someone else who did everything whilst I was on the phone.

Just a few tips, if you’re looking to redeem or repay your help to buy equity loan, press 1 when you first call as it puts you straight through to the redemptions team. The other options take you to a different team with a hour wait, and then when they put you through to redemptions, you have another hour wait. Definitely call during quieter times. Don’t wait until the last minute to sort this out! It says in their email that responses take 10 working days - if you haven’t heard anything or need it quickly, 100% call. Their email address has now changed too so anything to the old email, they may not look at (which is stupid!) but I had to resend things twice. The new email is on their website.

Hope this helps someone!

Every sympathy for everyone in the same boat as us. My husband spent total of 19 hours. Being cut off after 1 hour 1 minute and 30 seconds. We are absolutely demented with the music. We have sent numerous emails. No response. We too are wanting to complete with sale if our house. Surely solicitors must be aware that something isn't right. This has been so stressful and frustrating. Worst thing is who do we speak to about this. If anyone can find out any information we would be very greatful

Disgraceful- how hard can it be to provide a redemption statement?

Disgraceful. We have provided our solicitor with all our paperwork and paid all the fees for the HTB who passed it onto target early June. We have today been informed by our solicitor that Target have not provided us with the redemption statement and are not responding to any phone calls or emails, this means that we are now stuck with a sky high mortgage rate from our old company as we cannot take our new mortgage until we have the redemption. Me and my husband have been trying to get through for nearly 2 hours but the phone just rings before disconnecting. This is putting unbelievable financial pressure on us and as we cannot seem to get into contact with then we are stuck in a precarious situation. If anyone manages to find a way to get hold of them please let us know

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL As with others here, we paid (or think we have paid) off our HTB loan earlier this month, through our solicitor but have yet to receive any conformation from Target or anybody else that may have taken over their business. Both us and our solicitors have had no responses in any forms to our enquiries. This has got to be some kind of criminal offence. How can a ‘so called’ Government backed company take 10s of thousands of pounds without any accountability. If anyone has any info that may help please let us know.

INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL AND LACKING BASIC SERVICE SKILLS

Why are you putting us through this? The unnecessary financial losses, stress & anxiety being suffered by innocent people trying to do the right thing in paying off equity loans is palpable. How on earth anyone finds this abhorrent level of customer service acceptable is baffling. Someone needs to step in and and sort this utter fiasco out immediately! This cannot go on much longer. Clearly you are out of your depth.

If I could I would give them zero stars

This company is unbelievable and not in a good way! First, they lose my marriage certificate and take zero responsibility, no apology or offer to replace. Then I contacted them asking for a refund on my administration fee as the sale of our house fell though and we could no longer pay off the loan. By the time they responded back (after serval months of chasing) and said I could have a refund, we had secured a new buyer on our property. I sent the company an email explaining the situation with an attached copy of all correspondence and the new RCIS survey report, had to chase twice, then received an auto response telling us to get a survey done first. Now after making a second complaint about customer service they have acknowledged my survey but dismissed the fact I have already paid an admin fee and am being told to pay again in order to proceed. I simply have no words at this stage... not only do I have to play to replace my marriage certificate I also am expected to pay double the admin fee.

Contact details for managing htb loans given are not responsive! The gov UK website does not help either! DISGRACEFUL.

I am in the same boat, my sale is about to fall through because I cannot get hold of anyone at Target/help to buy in order to pay back my loan. I have been on hold for HOURS over the past week then just get cut off, and they do not respond to emails. How are they getting away with this?? If anyone needs the bank details to send admin fee to, the details are on the government website ‘how to repay your equity loan’ - hope this helps. Good luck everyone

Not Worth One Star!

***Side Note - Target can make claims that as of June 16th dealings were handed over but you've had my case since 03rd May & stated it'd take 5-7 working days for my redemption letter to be processed. Explain that one.***

Awful!
How a government backed housing scheme (Homes England) has allowed for this shambolic company to facilitate the handling of residents 'HTB' Loans, is beyond belief!

I've spent a working week on "Hold" having briefly spoken to a few advisors, firstly, being told that I'll have my redemption letter within 48 hours (Didn't happen) to then speak to three seperate advisors thereafter who couldn't locate or help with my document access so decided it best to place me on hold to queue for their 'Redemption' team...

I'm not sure the 'Redemption' team exists quite frankly due to never actually getting connected to them.

Homes England need to seriously review this organisation and the agreement put in place cause this shouldn't be allowed!

It's cost me hundreds of pounds due to delays and likely has and will cost others - all this stress for the production of a simple quotation letter.
