Don’t order if you actually want the product
So, I got really excited and wanted to do something nice for my husband for Fathers Day this year. Last year was his first, but money was really tight and I wasn’t able to do much so for lack of a better term this year I wanted to “make it up to him” so to speak.
I didn’t do my research beforehand as well as I should’ve, honestly. I made sure they were a real company and that was about it. I knew it was going to be a stretch to get the book in on time but I ordered it on June 8th (and received a confirmation email shortly after), knowing that even if it didn’t come in til the 20th, that would be fine since my husband would be home that day. ANYWAYS. How wrong I was. And how stupid I was for thinking it would be fine.
As of today’s date, (July 6th, 2022) not only have I not received the $40 book I ordered, I haven’t even heard from TapTap. I normally restrain from writing bad reviews, but honestly this is just my last desperate attempt at getting their attention. I have emailed multiple times, and only ever gotten the automated response. I do honestly still want the book, as I know I’ve paid for it; HOWEVER, to anyone thinking “oh this is so cute, it’ll make a great gift!” DO NOT DO IT. Especially if you live in the U.S.
I sincerely thought that some of the issues could’ve had to do with the fact that I was ordering from overseas (even though I’ve bought from other companies and not had this issue); but at this point I haven’t even gotten an email stating that the book has been made or packaged or shipped. Only the confirmation at the very beginning and some automated responses to my attempts at inquiring about the product.
I’m so sad and disappointed. I spent the entirety of our budget for that sort of thing on a gift that my husband never received.
