TapeandMedia.com is a small business located in Austin, TX. The company was founded in 2000 in Redding, Connecticut. We moved into a warehouse in Danbury, CT in 2003, then in 2005 we expanded and opened an office and warehouse in Austin, Texas. The Danbury warehouse is now closed but we still have staff in Connecticut. While our main office and warehouse are in Austin, Texas, we have arrangements with more than 10 regional warehouses located throughout the United States. Often, we will drop ship your order from one of the regional warehouses to expedite delivery. We do our best to make certain that you receive all the items you ordered as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that occasionally we may split your order into multiple packages from different warehouses. We can ship to virtually any address in the United States and its Territories. We also ship to APO/FPO addresses. Other than these, we do not ship outside of the United States.

Been ordering with you all regularly, normally we receive a tracking number for the order. This order lacked a tracking number and we weren’t able to figure out who received it when it arrived. I had to call you guys to get the tracking number.

Because I emailed your customer service to try and work out a problem with the order and received no return contact. I ordered two types of tapes LTO5 and LTO6...I needed 10 LTO5 Tapes and 20 LTO6 tapes, I inadvertently ordered them backwards and wanted help from your Customer Service to remedy the situation.

check them worm tapes
great service but WORM tapes -LTO5-need to be more QCed at the factory- DO NOT work with LTFS whatsoever. Not that LTFS will ruin the tape- contrare- it refuses to write said tape in that mode. 5GB in- and the tape fails on me. non-worm, no problems. WORM tapes- I need one replaced. Will fwd new address- not saying supplier is at fault yet, but tape is bad.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and we are sorry to hear that you are having issues using HPE LTO 5 WORM (Write Once, Read Many) tapes with LTFS (Linear Tape File System). Unfortunately, LTFS does not support the use of WORM tapes. The issue is WORM media cannot be partitioned and so cannot be used with LTFS. LTFS creates 2 partitions, one for data and one for an index of the data. LTO WORM media will work with standard backup software.
