I do not recommend this company. Twenty days before departure, after full payment had already been made, we were informed of a 4% price increase (€621) on our travel and given one day to pay the invoice, with ANVR rules and contract terms cited making it look as mandatory.

We paid in good faith. After a month of email exchanges, the company admitted that the surcharge was not mandatory, can’ be supported by any documentation or linked to our specific case, and mentioned that we did not have to pay if we disagreed.

Had this been made clear from the beginning, we would not have paid the additional €621. The company deliberatly took long to provide clarifications and now refuses to reimburse us. I recommend choosing a tour operator with more transparent pricing to avoid such unpleasant situations that shaded our safari experience (i have written correspondence from a company to support my statements).

We had a wonderful two-week trip with Tanzania Specialists and would like to thank the entire team for creating such a memorable experience.

The safari itself was outstanding, the accommodations were excellent, and the overall organization of the trip was very professional. A special thank you goes to our driver, Eduard Emmanuel, who was exceptional throughout the journey. His professionalism, knowledge, kindness, and commitment made our experience truly special.

Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the quality of the trip. However, if there is one area where we see room for improvement, it would be during the planning and booking process.

While the itinerary itself was very well organized, we felt that more detailed consultation and guidance beforehand would have helped us make even better decisions for our family. For example, we were not fully aware of certain travel options, such as the possibility of flying directly from the Serengeti to Zanzibar, which we likely would have chosen had we known more about it. There were also several comfort and convenience options that we may have considered if we had received more information and personalized advice.

We would recommend that the booking process place even greater emphasis on understanding the individual customer. In addition to discussing budget, it would be helpful to ask more detailed questions about travel expectations, physical condition, desired level of comfort, pace of travel, arrival preferences, and relaxation needs. This would allow itineraries to be tailored even more closely to each traveler's wishes and help customers make more informed decisions.

Our feedback is therefore very positive overall. The execution of the trip was excellent, and we highly recommend Tanzania Specialists. We simply believe that a more consultative and personalized planning process would make an already excellent experience even better.

Our 10-day trip to Tanzania will remain a highlight of our lives, thanks in no small part to the excellent advice and support provided by Anna, Julia, and Charles from Tanzania Specialist. From the very beginning of the trip planning, they perfectly addressed our wishes and needs, and we were always able to reach someone quickly. Even during the trip, there was a constant effort to ensure our satisfaction.

We were particularly enriched by our wonderful guide, Charles Tupa, with whom we were more than satisfied:
Charles’ driving skills were outstanding. He found the perfect balance between speed and adapting to the rough road conditions. His knowledge of nature and wildlife allowed him to answer all our questions, and his intuition and communication skills with other guides ensured that we were always at the right place at the right time. We were able to see all the amazing creatures of Tanzania’s wildlife. Our close encounters with lions, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, servals, and many more will remain unforgettable – thanks to Charles.
Finally, we would like to thank Charles for his exceptional kindness and empathy. He not only listened attentively to our daily wishes but also anticipated what might interest us. Charles fully met all of our expectations. We miss him as a valuable person and friend, and we highly recommend this guide from Tanzania Specialists.
(By the way, in our opinion, Charles has the potential for higher responsibilities due to his competence, empathy, reliability in planning, and forward-thinking time management.)

Conclusion: Communication and professionalism with all parties involved were excellent from the start and definitely deserve 5 stars. Our wishes were perfectly fulfilled, and we had a wonderful experience and fantastic time.
The beautiful landscape of Tanzania, the friendly people, and the breathtaking wildlife made it hard for us to say goodbye. They will forever enrich our memories. - Thanks to everybody, - Susan & Fritz
