Ukelele - expensive and useless...

Bought a £250 Tanglewood Ukelele in October 2024. Pegs have now seized so it's useless. Shop where it was purchased has now closed down, so have to go through manufacturer, but apart from FB Messenger there's no way to communicate with this company. After sales doesn't appear to be very helpful from all the comments. Let's hope I'm wrong. But so far, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. And I'm left with a useless instrument.

Provide a means of communication

How could they improve. Give their customers some means of contacting them. They offer a 3-5 days answer on Messenger which they do not honour! The Tanglewood guitar is beautiful but there appears to be a fault in the wiring. All I wanted to find out was if it was a known fault before I go back to the shop where I bought it. It is out of warranty. I have recently bought 2 guitars that are top of their range plus a banjo. After sales is important!

Tanglewood winterleaf TWCE 2

Purchase a twce2 just before Christmas 2021 2 weeks ago whilst trying to tune the e base string and watching carefully the tuner suddenly snap… not the string but the actual tensioner ie the axle that holds the string, so I had to dismantle remove the 3 strings what a cheap and nasty design all the reviews I had of these guitars has blown my experience out of the water, very very disappointed a £279 waste of money

No customer service.

Cannot comment on their guitars, but I bought a set of Tanglewood strings that were faulty. I couldn't find any customer service contact anywhere. I eventually spoke to someone on the phone who seemed uninterested and said I had probably got a bad batch. Not good.

Tanglewood Tomkat 111 (TSB 94 MT GBK)

Tanglewood Tomkat 111 (TSB 94 MT GBK)

I'm still freaking on this guitar..... It's a PRS custom 24 shaped Hybrid that plays anything from acoustic to hard rock, (It has an acoustic reality circuit, designed by Alan Entwistle). I got mine from Gear4music at £399 with a little bit of loyalty discount.
I actually own an American PRS custom 24, and I have to say that the finish on the Tomkat is better!?! Inside and out!!
The hardware is top quality, locking tuners, the magnatrem has a real deep chrome.....if you covered the head stock and told someone that it was a £5,000 custom shop guitar they would believe you. The lacquer is deep, the mother of pearl on the headstock is the best I've ever seen!
The action was perfect on arrival, well for me anyhow.
It's heavier than the PRS but then not as heavy as a Les Paul, a nice balance in between, this is a substantial guitar.
Freaking? How is this even possible???
And that's just the looks, the sound, which is of course subjective, well it just blows me away....
I bought the grey version but then I would like to have all three, they are each stunning in their own way.
Wow......wow.......still freaking......this must be an alternate reality, in my universe guitars that good cost thousands...

One slight criticism ...... There's no user manual or link to a web site. I have the Tomkat 2, (I actually have a really cool semi-hollow with 2 f-holes when most only have one),so I know how to use the acoustic circuit. You have to play around with the pick up configurations and back off on the volume to get good acoustic tones....but then this is definitely an improvement on the Tomkat 2, easier to use.....You'll figure it out....

In one word WOW!

All hail Tanglewood and Alan Entwistle, they are benevolent the Gods of Rock and or roll!

PS: 5 stars...hell give it six!
