TAL Hydration 40 oz. Hudson insulated mug
This is a review on the TAL Hydration Hudson 40oz tumbler. The wife and I travel a lot and wanted a quality built large capacity tumbler with a comfortable handle and one that wouldn't leak if knocked over. we looked at the Stanleys' and the Yetis' but was damned if I was going to spend 40+ dollars on an insulated mug.
We came across the TAL series of insulated mugs at Wal-Mart in a variety of colors for between 12-15 dollars. The lids screw on, and have a dual system of dispensing your beverage either by the included straw port in the center of the lid or by flipping open the cover to actually take a drink. The way the lid is constructed makes it virtually leak proof and it is insulated well enough to keep ice and your beverage cold for at least 24 hours. The hot performance I have yet to test but is not the reason I purchased this Insulated mug. The powder coated finish on the mugs seems to be first rate and durable, mine in the matte spring green, my wife's is in gloss spring green swirl. All in all these Tal insulated mugs seem to perform well above thier price point and compare favorably to Stanley and Yeti mugs costing at least 3 times as much. they come highly recommended.
