The worst app for food delivery.

The worst app for food delivery.

You pay with card but your order never get's reviewed by the restaurant. So you end up giving your money to takeaway without any support to even refund it as they use a stupid chatbot which only knows 2 things "We can't contact you to a human", "Your order is being prepared". So stupid, I hope this company falls out so we can only use Wolt or Glovo.

My order was 2 hours late and the food…

My order was 2 hours late and the food arrived stone cold. The courier didn't even have a thermal bag. When I complained, support offered me a 2 BGN voucher. That’s an insult, not a solution. Deleting the app immediately

Very bad service as general

Non existent customer support. 1 out of 3 couriers is arrogant, doesn't know how to find an address, lacks basic communication skills and are openly rude.The route scheduling is oddly inefficient as the courier usually circle around the neighborhood for 30+ min to deliver I suppose several orders, but when you are the last delivery the food is no good anymore. Overall the service provided is really bad, don't recommend at all.

I raised a dispute with the card issuer and they are literally taking full 50 days to "not provide" documents for literally stolen money.

make sure you never ever share payment card details with them, nor pay in advance!!!

I placed a £60 order on just eat for a treat for my family and me. The restaurant said the order was placed and they were preparing the food, delivery time was 20-30 minutes but then the delivery time kept increasing after 1 hour I tried calling the restaurant several times but no response after over 2 hours finally just eat assigned a driver as I expected when the food arrived after waiting 2 hours and 15 minutes the food arrived stone cold and inedible.
I had even tried to cancel the order after the first hour but there was no option to cancel I was given no choice but except the cold food. I complained to just eat customer service and their reply was we do not refund for cold food but as a gesture of good will we will give you £13.49 to spend on just eat, even though I had just lost £60 on inedible food. I cant believe that they get away with this sort of thing, since they knew there was no driver I should have been given the option to cancel the order or even try to pick it up myself....disgusting customer service and I would advise that no one orders from just eat as they obviously don't care about the customer just the Money.

The worst services!!

We placed an order at 9pm and we received a confirmation that it was successfully processed then we waited for more than one hour and nothing was happening. We than called the restaurant we placed the order for and they told us they are closed. 😅 and the most scandalous thing is that you cannot find how to reach anybody from takeaway, they made sure that they won’t have to listen for their gaps and mistakes from their customers which they are supposed to satisfy. Finally, we managed to find some phone number we decided to use that is only for business clients. Some guy picked up he checked our order and said hm sorry but there wasn’t a driver to pick up your order in time and then the restaurant closed. When we asked how is this normal and if we are going to be compensated about it he hung up. so why didnt you notify us at some point tou cant deliver but instead kept us waiting? I wouldn’t recommend ordering from this place to anybody. Tragic customer service, experience, app and youre gonna be hungry at the end

I paid £52 for a food order through…

I paid £52 for a food order through Just Eat on June 4, 2025. I accidentally entered the wrong delivery address but corrected it when the driver called. Despite this, the food was never delivered.

I called the driver several times after the first minute-long call, but received no response. I contacted customer service and requested a refund, but they refused, even though I never received anything.

I have now opened a dispute with my bank. Very disappointed with the lack of fairness and support.

Do not order Takeaway in Bulgaria

One of the many disappointing experiences I’ve had with TakeAway in Bulgaria:

I placed an order at 15:38. By 17:29 – after 111 minutes of waiting – I still hadn’t received anything. Eventually, I got an email saying the order had been canceled. During the entire time, there was absolutely no way to contact TakeAway – no phone number, only email – and now I have to wait and hope I’ll eventually get a refund.

I contacted the restaurant directly, and their response was basically to shift the blame: “The order was ready over an hour ago, but there was no one to pick it up.” Needless to say, a burger and a tortilla sitting for over an hour – both loaded with sauces – would’ve arrived as soup, if they had arrived at all.

In my opinion, both the delivery service and the restaurant share the blame. The restaurant could’ve tried to call TakeAway or at least notify us that the order won’t be fulfilled. On the TakeAway side – there was a complete lack of communication and no way to act in real time.

I’m extremely disappointed by the overall experience. At the very least, I expect a timely refund – but sadly, this isn’t the first time something like this happens.

TakeAway in Bulgaria frequently fails to meet their promised delivery time windows, and delivery drivers are often rude or dismissive. The whole process feels unreliable and unprofessional.

Late order/ no customer support

I made an order and the estimated time was 50 mins. But after an hour and a half the estimated time kept increasing and my order kept getting delayed. I couldn’t contact customer support cause it’s a robot that answers the chat. Extremely disappointing. This is the first and last time that I will be using their services

You can't reject order 30min after placing it, but 10min before closing.

The support team isn't helping at all.
They gave me vouchers for 10leva just to shut my mouth after 2 and a half hours of waiting any reasonable reply.

The delivery time MUST BE FIXED AND TO INCLUDE ANY VIABLES.

I see order time 20_40 min, but ONLY AFTER PAYMENT, TIME QAS CHANGED TO HOUR AND A HALF FOR 6 BURGERS FROM MCDONALD'S....

Bad service

The service was horrible! When the delivery driver called me he said that he is in a parking lot around my address. He told me to go find him, because he was at the address. He refused to get out of his car, even when i told him that he wasn't at the right place, because i searched for him for a few minutes and could not find him( and he couldn't see me as well). Then he decided to check on google maps where the address was and finally came out of the car to deliver the food. He was around 200 or 300 meters away from the correct address and as he was coming towards me (as he originally should have), he was mumbling under his nose about how stupid I am that i don't know where I live and once he got to me he even had the audacity to get angry at me for not being able to find him. Furthermore, this is not the first time that i have a problem with one of your delivery drivers. Some of them act extremely unprofessional and are unimaginably rude!
