Disappointing Mattress Quality and Customer Service
I had an unsatisfactory experience with SWISSpur regarding a mattress purchased last year. My expectation was for a premium product and reliable service given the price point. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite, leading to significant discomfort and a prolonged, unresolved dispute.
The mattress was delivered in April last year. The mattress proved uncomfortable within the advertised 111-day trial period. I contacted SWISSpur, they exchanged it with another after multiple follow-ups and significant delays. However, the replacement also proved to be of poor quality, developing significant sinking after just a few months of use. This issue severely impacted my sleep and caused persistent back pain. I provided evidence of the indentation, including photos and a video, but faced repeated delays and required multiple follow-ups to get any response.
A SWISSpur representative eventually offered to replace the mattress core as a "gesture of goodwill." I explained that a core replacement was unlikely to resolve the issue, as the mattress had already been fully replaced once, and requested a refund. Communication continued to be challenging, with unreturned calls and instances where representatives seemed unwilling to communicate in English, despite having done so previously.
After months of persistent attempts to resolve the matter, I received a final email declining my complaint. The reason given was that the mattress had been in use for over one year. This reasoning was factually incorrect. My complaint regarding the mattress was initiated before the one-year anniversary of the original delivery date. The subsequent delays in their response and resolution process should not have been used to penalize me. Furthermore, their prior offer to replace the mattress core was never fulfilled, and they have now completely rescinded all offers.
My experience with SWISSpur has been one of poor product quality, extremely slow and inconsistent customer service, and a final refusal based on a questionable interpretation of timelines. The whole ordeal caused me significant physical discomfort and mental distress. I would advise potential customers to exercise extreme caution before making a purchase.
