The owner the CEO Alex Gonzalez took away my product purchase. I am entitled to lifetime access of his product. I would be very weary of buying his product because he could do this to you as well. Even though his product states lifetime access to the swing trading lab for lifetime he could take away your product at anytime during updates that are being made. I also think that all the people that have been scammed by him contact the FTC to submit a formal complaint against him. They could assist you in his bad business behavior.

I did Alex's bootcamp and spent 1 year…

I did Alex's bootcamp and spent 1 year learning the strategy. Its a pretty simple price action strategy. I give him 5 stars because he does teach you how to read the market correctly but its on you to learn how to do it yourself and implement it. I don't usually write reviews but seeing all these guys giving him 1 star and bashing him is complete B.S

I spent a year learning how to implement it properly. Yes it took me that long to be confident and after a year I became a profitable trader. These guys who buy the boot camp think they will be profitable in 2-3 months are just delusional. Trading is hard and takes time to develop your skills and confidence. If you have blown your account then that tells me everything. You didn't use risk management, which is the most important part about trading. You cant control how much you make but you can control how much you lose.

Alex is legit and I would recommend him to others. But 95% of people will still fail no matter how good the teacher is because 95% of the people who say "they want to learn" really don't want to learn they just want to make money right away.

Doctors, lawyers, and other professions take 4-7 years to learn and you think you will learn how to confidently trade in 2-3 months and be a millionaire... lol

Please if you cant dedicate a couple years of your life to learning the proper skills then don't waste your money. There is no one on this planet who can help you.

This is my honest review from someone who did spend 12+ months straight 12-14 hours a day studying what Alex taught and it worked out for me.

Dont see these idiots with 1 star ratings who didnt even try for 10 days to actually learn

dont look at all the people who keep crying cuz they dont want to work hard and get better, they want signals so they can do 0 hard work and get spoon-fed trades for money.
He is the real mentor who believes on teaching the right way and not spoon-feeding you, so if u dont work hard you dont get the big bucks. Its as simple as that
buying this course wont mean anything if u wont put in your hard work and actually give your time to the charts

ik plenty of people who have done very well now after working hard and even i have started making 5 figures from literally nothing just by trading on his strategy but guys u need to put in the work

i gave it 2 years already and only now i am being proftiable for the past few months

Trading Courses vs. Reality: My Lessons from Alex Gonzalez

I attended Alex Gonzalez’s 30-day bootcamp and reviewed his course materials. Here’s my honest take:

This strategy has a very low success rate—about 10%. That means it fails 90% of the time. One major drawback is that you need to spend an entire week waiting and watching for a setup, only to often end up with disappointing results.

Alex does not function as a proper mentor. A true mentor should guide their students, make live calls, host webinars, and answer questions thoughtfully. When you ask Alex a question, his typical response is either to direct you to watch the recordings or reply with sarcasm. Most of the “answers” you’ll get come from other inexperienced students who often don’t know what they’re talking about.

Don’t make the same mistake I did and waste your money on this course. Instead, you can invest that money in your own live trading account. Even with a small starting amount, your account can grow over time. There are plenty of free resources on YouTube where you can learn without wasting money on courses like this.

A Word of Caution: If you see a so-called “guru” flaunting a lifestyle filled with fancy cars, mansions, and luxury goods, understand that it’s all marketing. Genuine mentors don’t need to sell you a dream—they let their results speak for themselves. Often, these gurus’ main source of income isn’t trading but selling courses and challenges, which fund their extravagant displays (like renting a $2.5 million pink Bugatti). Also, know that these people can easily buy Youtube videos views, or Instagram followers, or reviews. So don’t get fooled by these numbers.

Ask yourself this: If Alex genuinely cared about his students, why is he the only one claiming to turn $100 into $1 million? Why aren’t any of his students achieving similar success? If he cared, all his students would be millionaires now and not need to buy challenge from his prop firm.

There are real mentors out there who actively trade with their students, host live webinars, and provide thoughtful answers to questions.

I hope this message helps you make a better decision. Don’t waste your hard-earned money like I did.

alex g is a scam for sure

alex g is a scam

let me define what i mean by scamming, those who earns more from selling the potential dream and "lifestyle", and not on real trading profits

while one may argue alex g shows real profits, No!

there are multiple sources online showing alex's gs fake statement, you just need to google "alex g fake guru"

don't try to learn trading from a dunkin donuts employee and a college drop out, if they were that smart, they'd be building another META, not pretending they leased a bugatti from car finance, and then post pictures scamming us poor people from 2nd world countries....ROFL

My 1-Year Review of SetandForget

I’ve been a part of the SetandForget community for one year now, and I want to share my experience for anyone considering joining. I initially joined after seeing promising results shared on Alex’s Instagram and YouTube channel. I hoped that investing in his mentorship would make me a consistently profitable trader like him. Unfortunately, my results didn’t meet those expectations.

The Results
:
In my honest opinion, Alex’s strategy has about a 50% win rate. While this isn’t terrible, there are other strategies available that yield better results and higher profitability. As a result, I’ve decided to follow another mentor, combine their teachings with my own strategies, and occasionally use SetandForget insights as additional confluence for trades.

What You Get in the SetandForget Program

Here’s what the program offers:
1. Weekly Sunday Swing session (about an hour).
2. Course videos.
3. Occasional responses to questions in the Discord (though most answers come from other students).

That’s it.

When you sign up, you gain access to pre-recorded course materials. While these recordings can be useful for beginners, most of the content is already covered on Alex’s YouTube channel for free. Similarly, there are numerous other traders on YouTube who explain these concepts just as effectively at no cost.

The Discord Community

The Discord community is poorly managed. Alex himself has considered shutting it down or removing members due to the frequent chaos. There is little to no professional input—conversations are dominated by inexperienced traders who often argue. A common question asked throughout the week is, “Did Alex enter a trade?”

Alex never shares his live trades or trade exits directly in Discord. You’re more likely to find that information on his Instagram, which is another reason why joining the course isn’t necessary. The primary content shared is his Sunday Swing analysis, and out of the weekly analysis, only one or two ideas tend to play out—which is typical, as the market is unpredictable.

Is Alex a Mentor?

From my experience, Alex doesn’t provide the guidance or support I expect from a mentor. True mentorship involves guiding, supporting, and helping students gain the confidence and knowledge to trade independently. It’s not about hand-holding, but about ensuring students feel equipped to succeed.

Unfortunately, in SetandForget, you’re largely left to figure things out on your own. If you ask questions, responses from Alex are often dismissive or sarcastic. He might tell you that your question has already been answered in the course recordings or elsewhere, but the lack of direct engagement can feel frustrating and discouraging.

There are other mentors in the trading space who genuinely care about their students, offering daily live calls, webinars, live trading ideas, and a thriving community. SetandForget doesn’t measure up in comparison.

About the “100 to 1 Million”

One of the key selling points for the course and the 30-day bootcamp was the promise of turning $100 into $1 million. However, it seems this was more of a marketing tactic than a realistic goal. While Alex is an experienced trader and he himself turned $100 into $1 million, students who tried to replicate his strategy and start with $100 ended up blowing their accounts. To be fair, Alex isn’t responsible for others’ losses—each trader is accountable for their own actions—but the promise wasn’t realistic for the students.

My Honest Opinion

I want to be clear: I don’t harbor any resentment toward Alex. I’ve learned a lot from him, and I believe he is a skilled trader. However, the value I received from SetandForget didn’t justify the investment. The course and community fell short of my expectations, which led me to seek out other strategies and mentors. Since making that change, I’ve become a consistently profitable trader.

If you’re new to trading, Alex’s free content on YouTube is a fantastic resource. He explains his strategy clearly and thoroughly, and you can learn everything you need to know from there without paying for the course.

I hope this review helps you make a more informed decision about whether SetandForget is right for you.
