WARNING: Security deposit (100€) never returned. Systematic issue.
UPDATE: I followed up with Swiklly's customer support team but they leave my e-mail unanswered (9 days and counting)
I used Swikly for a security deposit during a hotel stay in France, and the €100 has never been returned. Despite no damages being reported and the stay ending months ago, the funds remain unrecovered.
What is most frustrating is that this appears to be a systematic issue with this specific merchant, as many other users have reported the exact same problem. Swikly provides the infrastructure for these deposits but seems to offer no protection or oversight when a merchant refuses to release funds.

16 days to "return" my deposit
I preferred the old way of dealing directly with the lessor rather than with a third party. Who has time to do an inventory on arrival and on leaving the property? I would simply email the lessor if I broke something though I realise not everyone is as honest as me.
It took 16 days follwing departure from the property to have my security deposit "closed". And I had to pay a fee for the privilege. Not a great customer experience.

We understand that this delay may have been frustrating. As a reminder, the duration for which your security deposit is held is determined by the host.
By default, it expires 20 days after the end of the rental, unless the host specifies a different timeframe. In your case, your security deposit was returned within 16 days, which is within the maximum allowed timeframe.
Regarding fees, we leave it up to the hosts to decide whether or not to split the Swikly fees with their guests. For this transaction, your host chose to split them with you. As a reminder, this online security deposit allows you to avoid using a check or having funds held on your credit card.

Nice apartment close to center and ski buses
The place was very close to the buses that brings you to the ski resort and also close to the Charminix center. The concierge was helpful. He gave us extra soap (one smallnbar was not enough for 3 people). It had everything we needed and I would recommend it to others.
