Awful, Rude, Aggressive Driver, Didn’t Drop at Booked Destination

I tried Swift for the first time today and will never use them again. The driver was late, didn’t apologise, then was continually rude. When he picked me up he repeatedly said I was lucky i had been picked up. WTF? I pre-paid via the app, using credit card, and called to confirm the day before. When I asked what he meant by that, he mumbled something incoherent about booking in advance (I literally did book in advance the day before). He then asked how much I paid, which was weird considering he should surely know that already. Then he asked which was cheaper; Uber, Bolt or Swift. It was the most bizarre, passive aggressive way of indicating he didn’t want the job. Then he told me that lots of drivers don’t like credit card bookings. Again, WTAF. The app literally facilitates card bookings. If he wants cash, he needs to sort that out with the company, not blame the customer. He then didn’t turn the air con on or let me open the window (the journey was 1hr20 minutes) and made it very clear he didn’t want the job. Then he didn’t actually drop me where i wanted and had booked to go. So i then had to walk 15 minutes to get to where i wanted to be. It was the most passive aggressive, unpleasant, rude, weird and unpleasant cab ride I’ve had. And it definitely doesn’t make me want to use Swift again. I called and complained and was told someone would escalate it to management but nobody called.

Over and above!

Ran out of fuel on M8 and was completely helpless in the middle of nowhere. Swift cars had a driver to me in 10 minutes. Was professional and friendly (thank you Micheal) and returned me via petrol station to where the van was. Thank you so much.

Quality kept dropping

Having been using them for years and reluctant to change even though quality of service kept dropping. Drivers often charge extra for all sorts of reason and never look or act as a professional. Reported to their admin re overcharge- promised to refund but never received. Now no response at all to further enquires. I gave up.

Do Not ise

Used them to Heathrow on 9th August, after paying £80.70, they charged me another £0.45 saying the driver was waiting for 7 seconds, despite that he was waiting on the wrong side and we were there before pickup time.. this isn’t the first time they add some random waiting charge, last time the driver claimed he was waiting when he was lost driving around!! DO NOT USE, absolutely awful service!!!

Terrible ETA from booking office.

Phoned to book a cab and was told 10min so booked my train ticket.
45min later after trying to get hold of them the driver called me back from a different cab company being ABC. I'll be calling ABC in future. Missed 3 lots of trains. Very bad service all we need is honest timings.

Had a terrible experience with swift…

Had a terrible experience with swift cars. I had surgery in Charing Cross hospital and was directed to the telephone at their reception to book a ride home. Swift cars answered: They told me the charge and said theyd be there in 15 mins, sending me a text with this information. 25 min later they turned up, drove me home then told me I couldnt pay with my visa debit card. I am 70, feeling particularily vulnerable and dont have mobile banking. They harassed me said I couldnt leave the car without paying, then suggested I run up the stairs to my flat (96 steps in total!) to collect cash to pay them. they texted me incessantly throughout, repeatedly sending me a link that didnt work, including afterwards when I was recovering in bed. If Id know they didnt accept visa debit cards I would have stepped onto the street and hailed a black cab!

We had an awful experience using Swift…

We had an awful experience using Swift Car on an airport transfer to Luton. The driver was driving with two fingers of one hand place at the bottom of the steering wheel, and exceeding the speed limit. We requested the driver put two hands on the wheel. Instead of immediately doing, as you would reasonably expected, he got angry and claimed the car was self-driving. It wasn't, it had cruise-control and either way, and certainly should never have two fingers of one hand placed at the bottom of the steering wheel. We ended up in an uncomfortable situation (with wife and 2 kids in the car) with a driver who wasn't taking the request or our safety seriously. When I complained in writing to Swift, I received no response. If you don't like paying £74 for an airport transfer where your family's safety is compromised, I would recommend choosing another provider.

NEVER USE THIS SERVICE

NEVER USE THIS SERVICE

Cancelled both our mini vans less than 12 hours before we’re due to be taken to the airport with no other solution. Beyond a joke. Reason given was Ramadan which started a month ago

The driver overcharged me at least 3…

The driver overcharged me at least 3 times. He was very rude and treated us very badly. Besides, The car wasn't comfortable at all.
Furthermore, he hit one old lady and he did not care at all. She was on the pedestrian crossing but he did not offer any support. My husband asked if she was ok, however, the driver was sitting there and said that was her fault.
That was my first time and last. It's better to take the black taxi, they charge fair prices and they have comfortable cars.

The operator in the office are very rude , the drivers are nice . Very expensive for local fares 3 times as much as a black cab but reasonable price for the airport.
Its a shame they try to charge these prices something should be done about this .

Never again!!

I book a cab every 2 weeks for the same journey and I have been loyal to Swift. However never again!! I have missed my train 3 times because they've not arrived in time. I understand a taxi can be 5 minutes late and so I allow a lot of time. Once they put in the wrong time. Twice they have told me the driver has broken down and they're sending another driver, which is clearly a lie. They have charged me £15.50 for the journey for the last 6 months. Last time they charged my £25 and this time told me it was going to be £30!!! I have heard it's recently changed hands and maybe this is the problem. I would have to be very desperate to use this company in the future.

Terrible taxi firm

Terrible taxi firm. You notify them of muscling a pram so needing a larger boot yet they still send cars with small boots or drivers that have stuff in their boots. Also when the taxi driver turns up and audibly says “F%#K sake” upon seeing your pram I find this incredibly rude! Shocking customer service.

I don’t know how the company vets it’s…

I don’t know how the company vets it’s drivers but tonight’s drive was a nightmare. Not only did the driver not want to wear a mask but he drove badly swerving and hard braking several times. Upon arrival he refused to get out of the car to open his boot saying it’s not his job !!
Although other drivers in this company may be better people but if CONSISTENCY can not be kept then this company is definitely not for me.
