Phoned this company as i wanted a Hormann new front door as I have one at another location for my holiday cottage in cornwall . Arranged a survey with Jack ( using a keysafe ) for following week .
No, quote received so chased by email and phoned . Lady in the office said jack will contact you .
Still no response , so no idea why .
If they are like this for quotes hate to think what fitting is like
Excellent products - Hormann doors amazing. Generally the company is ok. The fitters are great, the team that carried out the annual maintenance check (to keep the warranty) were great. Seemingly all good, SWGD (Bodmin) were unable/wouldn't give me quote on the first year maintenance check. The maintenance team (2 bods) were here for no more than 50 mins on the 6 Feb, did a great job. I received an invoice for £150.00, I thought this was quite expensive. After a week of wondering should I email SWGD (Bodmin) about the invoice, I did email the company and got the following response:
"Just a reminder that we have not received your payment for the invoice. Let us know if you have questions.
Please note that our invoice payment history is automatically shared with creditsafe, and late payment affects your credit score."
No response to my email just an immediate threat of a credit agency. After spending thousands on 2 garage doors with this company, I will be finding an alternative company to carry out the maintenance checks next year.
Used SWGD (Bodmin branch) for maintenance and upgrades to twin electric entrance and pedestrian gate since 2019 after bungled installations by 3 other local firms. Consider them to be the best and most reliable by a long way. Unfortunately they are so good lead times can get stretched. Highly recommended.
