Swap.gg scam

Swap.gg allows me to trade rust skin back to their system, which proves the item is completely tradable and not locked by Steam (rust skins dont have trade ban) . However, they systematically block the 'Withdraw' option to my Steam inventory, forcing users to trade it back at a loss. This is predatory behavior

Hi, thanks for taking the time to write this, and sorry for the frustration.

You're right that Rust skins carry no Steam trade ban — the hold you're seeing isn't coming from Steam, it's ours, and it's tied to how the trade was funded rather than to the Rust skin itself.

CS2 skins can be reverted after a trade goes through: Steam allows those trades to be rolled back for a set period, and the items return to the sender. If we released the Rust skins to your Steam inventory straight away, someone could send CS2 skins, withdraw the Rust skins instantly, then have the CS2 trade reverted and keep both sides. That's a loss we'd end up absorbing, and ultimately pricing back into everyone's trades.

So the withdrawal simply waits out that revert window and unlocks automatically once it closes — nothing needed on your end. Trading back inside our system stays available in the meantime because those items never leave our custody. It's not designed to push anyone into a loss.

Send your trade ID to our support team and we'll confirm exactly when your withdrawal opens up.
