After taking several classes with Teacher Huu Tinh at SVFF, I have gained a great deal. First, the teacher’s pronunciation is very standard, and he corrects students’ pronunciation mistakes at the right time. Second, he repeatedly asks students to practice sentences they have just learned, which helps reinforce the examples and eventually allows students to say them naturally.
After attending several lessons, I truly feel that SVFF’s courses are well structured and that the teachers are carefully selected. I believe that in the near future, my Vietnamese will become as fluent as that of a local speaker. I highly recommend Teacher Huu Tinh at SVFF.

I’ve finished 15 classes with Miss Nguyên so far. My cousins and I started taking Vietnamese classes together to improve our Vietnamese and be able to have more deep and meaningful conversations with our families. Since I’ve started lessons with Nguyên, I’ve grown more confident in speaking Vietnamese and excited to continue improving. I highly recommend SVFF and if you need a specific teacher, Nguyên has been amazing. She is patient, encouraging and always adds a bit of fun to every class. Looking forward to continuing my lessons in the new year.

I have been learning with Nguyên and SVFF since August of this year. So far the experience has been wonderful. They offer group classes, which makes learning both affordable and fun with friends. Overall, the staff at SVFF are very kind and knowledgeable.

In addition to Zoom lectures, they provide many supplementary resources such as a textbook, activities, flashcards, and most recently, a new app. Let’s just say you’re more likely to have too many resources/homework than to be missing anything (which is great value for your money!). They are actively updating materials, creating new content, and seeking feedback to improve their courses.

In the few months with SVFF, I’ve learned a lot in reading and writing, and my confidence in speaking Vietnamese has improved greatly. I highly recommend giving SVFF a try if you’re looking to learn Vietnamese with a Southern accent.

I recently started lessons with SVFF with Hồng Uyên and the experience has been great. The materials they have for Souther accent is unparalleled and the activities with Uyen made the lessons go by quickly. Having the 1;1 instruction also made it easier to learn more relevant words and Vietnamese culture. I can't recommend Uyen enough - she is very patient and makes each lessons engaging.

Learning with Miss Kim Ngân at SVFF has been such a wonderful experience! She explains everything clearly, is incredibly patient, and makes each lesson fun. I’ve seen real progress in my Vietnamese. Highly recommended!

I have been trying to learn Vietnamese for about 2 years now. I tried a number of popular language apps and subscription based services. I wasn't progressing and was getting very frustrated. I was also wanting to focus on the Southern Accent. I discovered SVFF about 12 months ago. I started out buying their text books and then tried the one on one lessons. I have had 45 lessons so far. I am very happy with the course material that ranges from absolute beginner through to advanced fluency. I can now focus on learning rather than trying to work out what to learn. I am most impressed with the teachers who are so friendly, supportive and encouraging. I am now confident speaking basic Vietnamese. I went to Vietnam for the first time last month. I was surprised at how well I could communicate in basic Vietnamese. It's a true testament to my teachers. In particular Mr Hưu Thịnh and Miss Minh Châu. I highly recommend Mr Hưu Thịnh and Miss Minh Châu, they have a real passion and commitment for teaching Vietnamese and sharing their culture. I look forward to many more lessons with Mr Hưu Thịnh and advancing my Vietnamese.

I recently started taking online Vietnamese lessons through SVFF. I’ve finished 20 hours of lesson with Miss Hồng Uyên and will highly recommend her as a teacher. She is engaging and fun and I genuinely have learned a lot. We spent many lessons going over pronunciation (including all the tones) and as a native English speaker I found this necessary and very helpful. I won’t sugarcoat it, becoming fluent in Vietnamese is a long-term project and having an expert guide definitely speeds up the timeline.

I've been a student online from the US for several years now and counting. My goal initially was to get better at talking with family but I've had fun talking about specific topics relevant to me and I enjoy Phi's teaching style. The website and resources keep updating and getting more interactive which is a huge change over the past 2 years. If you want to learn Vietnamese and honestly any dialect, I highly recommend this team and their services.

I have been studying with Ms. Nguyen for two months now and I have been really benefitting from the classes and look forward to them each week. I have been improving my Vietnamese because Ms Nguyen is very easy to converse with and she tries to make each class different and interesting. I also enjoy the SVFF resources including the textbook, the AI summaries and extra exercises for listening and speaking. I strongly recommend Ms Nguyen and SVFF for learning Vietnamese :)

I have been with SVFF for about a year now and the curriculum and my instructor Cô Thảo Nguyên have been awesome. The online learning modules are very helpful and Cô Nguyên even adds in helpful vocabulary depending on certain events in my life. I’ve been studying Vietnamese with Ms. Nguyen every week for nearly three months and she has helped me progress more than I ever expected. I really look forward to our classes, as they benefit me practically and keep me highly motivated. It’s great to be able to review our lessons afterward on the videos she records – it’s the first time I’ve been able to observe my speaking habits, which is very valuable – and the post-class notes and extra study materials that she sends me are incredibly helpful. Also, I’ve been studying the SVFF textbook every week on my own, the lessons of which are extensive and wide-ranging, and it’s nice to be able to ask questions about it with Ms. Nguyen, who always responds helpfully. I’m really glad that I enrolled in a Vietnamese course with SVFF, especially with Ms. Nguyen as my teacher!

I have had the most wonderful teacher, Thay Mr Huu Thinh. He really is an incredible teacher and has helped me to improve my Vietnamese. I am looking forward to starting lessons with him again soon, when my schedule allows. I've had many Vietnamese teachers over the years, but Mr Thinh is, without a doubt, the best for many reasons! I've really enjoyed SVFF Vietnamese company and would recommend them to anyone, especially Thay Thinh.

I picked up SVFF after following their youtube channel for a few years. I recently decided taking personal classes with a private tutor was the right choice for me. I have been taking classes for about 5 months now and it has been a great experience throughout.

My tutor, Minh Trang, has been nothing short of a great teacher. As an Vietnamese American, she helped review and strengthened my basics of the Vietnamese language. My reading, listening, and speaking skills have improved greatly as she has improved my confidence with the language. Chi Trang makes the lessons fun and exciting as learning doesn't necessarily feel like schooling but rather a cultural exchange. She is very patient, understanding, and supportive throughout all our lessons.

For the SVFF learning content, supplemental vocabulary for some lessons would be beneficial. I have noticed that some lessons have vocabulary not introduced in previous lessons in some the exercises; however, everything else has been great and have a lot of practice material.

I’ve been studying Vietnamese with Miss Thảo Nguyên through SVFF for a few months now, and it’s been a great experience. She’s a very good teacher — patient, engaging, and often shares interesting insights about both the language and Vietnamese culture.

The learning materials are well structured and cover a wide range of topics. I really appreciate that the lessons focus on Southern Vietnamese, which is harder to find online since most resources are for the Northern accent.
