Great alternative to sending flowers. I have used this twice now as a surprise gift and both recipients loved it as an idea and enjoyed the book, This would be five stars but last time I ordered I didn't get a confirmation email, but I assume it was a glitch as package was delivered on time.

This was such a fabulous gift for my husband's birthday. He loved the box and its contents, and found it a truly thoughtful present. It was wonderful to give him something he loved, as well as being kinder on the environment. Great customer service, and couldn't recommend more highly.

I ordered the Christmas box for my son Tom. We were so impressed and he was absolutely delighted. The book was a smart copy of Trollope's Phineas Finn. The treats were all lovely as were the other gifts. I had gifter's envy I can tell you. Thankyou very much and Happy new year.

A glitch on the website prevented me from changing the recipient's name, but a quick email solved it instantly - so you can add superb customer service to the list. I'm telling everyone about them!

This is a gem of a find - I ordered one of the Christmas boxes with an add on for another book for a family member and her partner. The books were good condition and recommended reads, the treats were spot on - plentiful, quality and delighted the recipients. Presentation was fab and the delivery and communication couldn't have been better. I will definitely be ordering again.

What a lovely company! They sent my cousin the most wonderful 1950s thriller which I never would have chosen and she absolutely loved it! Really easy to order and swift delivery. Will be using again next year!

I'm so impressed with this company! Its such a great idea, and the customer service is excellent. Charlie really listened to my suggestions on the type of books my family might like, and she was really on the money, the vintage party games book resulted in hours of fun! The sustainability of everything was obviously very well thought out, even down to the hand written notes on brown paper. The quality of the snacks was also very high, the chocolate lovers in particular were very happy. I highly recommend this as a thoughtful, environmentally friendly and fun gift.

As a recipient of a present from here I would say: nice idea, great to receive but watch out…. the quality of the book was very poor. It smells of an attic, has marks all over it including a mug stain on the front cover. There’s second-hand and there’s second-hand.

My second time ordering - this was for my nephew who loves cooking so naturally I ordered the Foodie Box! From start to finish, a wonderful experience, made easy by Charlie! The package arrived super quickly and my nephew not even knowing what was inside, sent me a photo of the beautiful gift before he opened it! Once he did he was so happy! I've used sustainable book club now for two friends and have been impressed with the value and variety of items you get for your money. The package i chose for Sarah was a cook book and snacks and there was a large variety of teas as well that suits all tastes. I find sustainable book club to be a good choice for people who are environmentally concerned as well as interested in trying new and organic things and have an adventurous side too. Will be using again for my next birthday present purchase.
Items also come in good time with good delivery and good communication with staff also.
