£611 SCAM

Its 8pm and my door lock broke. I called this company and they arrived in 30 minutes. No uniform, no work van. This didn't flag to me because it was out of hours.
The website said from £35. However when they showed i was told £289 just to open the door as they had to drill the cylinder lock. Stefan then proceeded to charge me a further £150 for door handles and £172 for another lock bringing the total to £611.

I'm a single woman and didn't know what to do and quite visibly upset so I paid. I was desperate to get in. Stefan, said he would come back in a few days. The next day I couldn't even get out my property as the lock was so stiff. I've requested an invoice 3 times now. Nothing has been sent.

I called another locksmith to fix all the damage that has been done. the worrying part was the new key has been stamped with a code. so i had to get my locks changed again.

Do not hire these people

I fee they took the advantage over the fact I was locked out. I’m a skint student for context and Tried to charge me £270 when on the phone I was told it would cost no more than £80 I managed to negotiate to £180 but after the reviews I’ve now read I realise that that was a scam anyway. I now have barely any money for the rest of the month and am just shocked that a company like this can be allowed to charge such insane prices (false advertising?) when all he did was put a key in door and twist (no drills no tools or anything) I sincerely hope these reviews warm other people to not making the same mistake I did by calling this company.

Scam! Ripping people off. Dishonest.

I wish I read the reviews. Absolute joke. I locked myself out with kids, called the supremelocksmiths. On the phone the man reassured me its minimum £35 and if its simple job, it will only be that. He would not give me more aprox price.
30mins later man arrived and quoted me £39 charge + emergency call at 8pm + £199 for labour. I refused to pay and called someone else. Who did it for £75.
Shame on you, ripping people off, who desperate to get back into their house. Dishonest businesses never last. Karma will get you.

Beware of Supreme Locksmith – Scam Company That Exploits Vulnerable People

Supreme Locksmith is the worst company we have ever dealt with. They took advantage of an elderly landlady in her 80s, charging her £360 to install a lock with a handle. After taking the payment, they didn’t complete the job. The locksmith, George, promised multiple times to come back and finish the work but never showed up.

He first promised to return on the 9th or 10th of December 2024, then said he would come on Friday the 13th at 2 PM, and again promised to arrive on Saturday the 14th at 9:10 AM. Each time, he failed to show up and gave no notice.

We tried contacting them repeatedly, but the response was shockingly rude. They started hanging up the phone when we called and ignored further attempts to communicate. George failed to install the handle, which means the landlady now has to pay another company to finish the job he was already paid to do.

This company is nothing but a scam. The reviews they boast about on their website are clearly fake, as they don’t appear anywhere else online. Please, do not trust Supreme Locksmith unless you want a massive headache and to be taken advantage of. Avoid them at all costs!

As others are saying RUN from this company. They are fakes they are scammers. Will they change your lock? Sure but at a extortionate price. I am a single mother locked out in a panic, they told me it would be £200 and after the job they charged me £500. STAY AWAY they need to be reported

Dodgy scammers, stay away!

They are scammers. We locked ourselves out as we left the keys inside, we called them and on the phone they said it would cost £59 to open the door - after we had sent the picture of the door and agreed on the phone that would be the price for the job. The guy came and asked us £220, when we said we agreed for £59 he said he could do that for £180, nothing less, we negotiated to £150 cause he said the job could take an hour but after we agreed he literally opened the door in less then 30 seconds. We were obviously shocked because we realised he scammed us and he got very aggressive. Stay away from these scammers.

Scammers don’t use

Scammers don’t use. My receipt says Supreme Locksmiths & I booked through telephone no on The 24 Hour Locksmith website. Seems it’s the same guy.

Their website states they have 2351 trust pilot reviews. They have 3… all negative.

£35 call out charge, then when got here said it would be £350 to get me in & upped the call out fee to £44, as locked self out. I knew that was being extremely overcharged as used someone a few years ago so knew rough rates.

Told him not to continue as that was too much & I’d just pay call out fee. He pulled the race card, saying that was the reason. I told him no, it’s because of his behaviour trying to rip me off & that I didn't trust him because of that. He tried to persuade me for ages & kept repeating race card & arguing with me.

He was very shocked I didn’t go through with it, he must be used to scamming people.

He also kept showing me he was recording the visit on his phone. Well dodgy.

His website also has a location icon on stating 0.7 miles away, trying to make you think they are local. It’s a static image that the distance doesn’t change.

He’s very brave in his conning, as on his website he’s listed lots of different police forces that supposedly use his services which is an obvious lie.

Deeply unprofessional service - steer away

We called them to open the lock that was jammed. The technician damaged the door frame and the door, the entire lock and the mailbox, spent over 2 hours conducting himself in a highly unprofessional manner, and, finally, having consulted his colleagues on the phone, he finally managed to remove the cylinder. He came back 2 (!) days later to replace the lock (as replacing the cylinder was not an option anymore due to his unprofessional conduct) and repaired the doorframe (barely) - but not anything else. He charged us TWO THOUSAND POUNDS - which was much higher that any market price by all standards. They are lying on their website about everything - upfront price, reviews, and professionalism of their technicians.
DO NOT CALL THEM!
