Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 382 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers express extreme frustration with the customer service, citing an inability to reach a human representative through various channels like email, phone calls, or chat. People frequently report issues with the website and support systems, often being directed to unhelpful online resources or automated bots that fail to resolve their problems. Reviewers also highlight a general lack of accountability and responsiveness from the staff, leading to significant disruptions in their personal and business operations. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with the service they received, describing agents as professional, kind, and effective in resolving their issues. These positive experiences often involved direct assistance from a human agent who took control of their screen or provided expert guidance.

If I could give them minus 5 I would

If I could give them minus 5 I would. My email was hacked, my password changed and no matter how much information I give them about my 25 year email address it’s not enough to recover the account. Frightening really someone can hack it in Russia, where I have never been yet I can’t get it back, 25 years of personal and financial information gone because Microsoft can’t be bothered

Too ridiculous to describe our…

Too ridiculous to describe our experiences trying to resolve login and authentication issues! For 365.
The AI cannot understand the numbers you read out.
It took at least 10 hours total this week with one call nearly 3 hours.
We cannot use our office apps so we are losing business and i will now see how we can sue MS for loss of business.
Absolute RUBBISH! and i am wasting my Sunday typing this as it will no difference.

If i could give negative numbers I…

If i could give negative numbers I would. We had an issue and contacted multiple phone numbers with supports saying you need to go to this site. The same site that wouldn't work. Tried multiple ways to get help to ne avail. We ended up having a third party correct issue in 30 min. Microsoft customer support is severely lacking.

Over an hour waiting for phone support to answer, two hours on live chat before that only to be passed around and told i need to call phone support. Not what i expect to a firm when spending thousands a year with them.

I hate microsoft support

I hate microsoft support, absolute WORST. If I can give them a negative 100 I would. I had fraud on my Microsoft account for $350. I went into my account and changed payment details along with other required fields. Three weeks later I still have no refund and can't get in touch with anyone. Even when I go to their support page and click on their "Help" link, it give me an error message. They are a JOKE for a tech firm.

Absolutely Appalling Customer Service

Very similar experience to many others. I'm a small business (sole trader) and got locked out of my account due to an MFA error loop. I could not get past the authenticator app. Rang Microsoft for help - automated person x 2! You get past one of them and then you're through to another automated person. Then I was on hold for 90 minutes and had to give up. I spent 10 HOURS trying to get through to an actual person and was basically told that there is not a UK based support centre so I had to wait 2-3 hours for someone to call me back from the US.

Guess what? No one called me back. Finally got through to someone (don't know who they were but they spoke like a robot) absolutely zero "bed side manner" - it was bizarre. Then he told me there was no one available from the data protection team to speak to me and I had to wait a week for a call back!?! I couldn't access my business account - I couldn't access any of my emails and due to being a sole trader I had no one else in my company to help me.

Finally got a call back but in my panic, I'd tried changing my password to gain access and then subsequently forgot my password. So I had to reset it - this needed a 2 step verification process. I got the code from my personal email but then they wanted to call my business number. Got multiple "missed calls" which never actually rang. Finally got an actual call back and the automated service asked me to press the "pound key" to verify my number - there isn't a pound key on my dial pad, because I'm in the UK!?! I only found this out after it hung up on me and locked my account for 24 hours.

The pound key on the dial pad is only in the US. So Microsoft are asking customers to verify who they are by using a process that only makes sense in the US?!?!

I experienced a great support last…

I experienced a great support last month!

I was frustrated at the beginning when encountering the issue and I wanted to blame for everything. The support showed a huge empathy and patience. This agent spent 3 hours with my screen doing troubleshooting steps until we found out a solution. He said thank you for my time and ended the call without asking for any survey (like most other agents would do).

I know that many people have been having awful support service based on the comments and reviews from Trustpilot but trust me, there are still a lot of agents with full dedication and kindness who only want to do everything they can to support customers.

Hey David Nguyen, don't know if you could read this or not, but you have done a great job! You rescued me from this painful day. Hope you will continue that fire and wishing you all the best too!

I am being double charged for MSN 365…

I am being double charged for MSN 365 and I don’t know why. When support is reached to enquire they take me to a web of scenarios that non of them reflect my case or provide the answers I need. I am concerned if I cancel one of the charges I would loose my cloud storage.
I need to talk to a human to explain my issue but instead of connecting me to a person the help hangs up on me
